I wanna be that guy now too, but Akira Himekawa is working on a new original fantasy manga called Kamudo so if anyone really likes the Zelda manga you'll probably like this too. The Twilight Princess manga takes what was already a good story, and expands on it HEAVILY. Characters get more focus, story beats are added in to better suit the pacing, Link is even MORE of a character in this and his relationship with Midna in it is somehow even better. Damn, we need more game manga like this. Oh yeah, they gave Link a BACKSTORY that ties to the main story which is CRAZY. That wasn't even there before!

That's one thing I have to give to Nintendo is the fact that they gave so much Liberty to the manga artists and writers for their series. I feel like pretty much every Nintendo manga that's come out has expanded on the lore and given more context to different characters and story lines. That's really appreciated. I think a lot of people sleep on them since they think they're just a straight adaptation when they end up telling the story sometimes better than the games do

This magna has become my 2nd favorite manga right behind Land of the lustrous, it's gorgeous, the story is amazing, his relationship with Midna is amazing and in general the additions to the lore make PERFECT sense and aren't just plot devices, they feel like they've always been there. I love this. The final 10 chapters had me in tears multiple times.

The Zelda manga's have always been a HUGE part of my childhood. I owned the Ocarina of time volumes, Oracle volumes and the Minish cap manga, they're so cool. Akira Himekawa taught me a lot about manga and drawing in general. Seeing my favourite youtuber talk about such a niche subject is fucking AWESOME.

As a fellow TP Manga glazer I'm super excited you're making this video and I remember bringing it up when you made your TP Video so its nice to see a video on the manga itself. I think the best part of the whole manga is how the art really captures the emotions of the scenes and character. LIKE I LOVE THAT PANEL AT 14:55 SO GOD DAMN MUCH OF LINK. His expression on that panel with his snarky attitude is just SO FUCKING GOOD. I said it on that video but this Link is MY FAVORITE. That is tough competition cuz Four Swords Adventure has 4 dumbasses that play off each other perfectly in the manga as well and he beats those 4 doofuses singlehandely and I love those dorks. There's so many things in that first manga volume that tell you, this is a gonna be a true piece of art and that arc in that village really is one of those proving points.

Man I remember that manga a long time ago. The ending was so heart breaking because they focus on the relationship between Midna and Link so much more and it hurts much more because you’ve already played the game, like you know where the story is going but the whole time you’re hoping that somehow the story changes but it doesn’t. When you play other LoZ games Link will naturally build relationships and you can tell who Link is going to end up with specifically like it’s fate but the relationship between Link and Midna of Twilight Princess feels so much more earned like they built that relationship brick by brick, but no matter what, they kiss then get separated by dimensions.

Not just twighlight princess, but the big omnibus ones, like ocarina if time, majoras mask, a link between worlds etc. one of my fondest memories was reading the oracle of seasons manga with my sister in the doctors office. I remember getting the first volume from a book fair in 7th grade and I was hooked instantly! I kept collecting the volumes as they came out. They really got me through tough times during high school. It’s become my favorite manga of all time and I’m so happy to see it getting more love lately. When the manga was still not completed I waited for a long time I really wanted to read everything but I needed to wait after a volume everytime till the last one. This game was my first zelda game and when I did saw at my library the first 3 I decided to grab them all cause I read the other Zelda Manga but I was not ready for this one.
