I'm sure she'll be back once she's out of diapers... Hey, there's a thought: use a full diaper as target. (perhaps not an actually used one, just a diaper soaked full of water. I'm sure she'll have a few that ripped the straps while putting them on so they become unusable... I think the hydrostatic shock on a saturated diaper could make a special effect, or at least be as impressive as soaked magazines.

I can't think of a guest shooter I've ever not enjoyed! I had to rewind the cabbage a few times, I couldn't quite tell if the slug clipped the very top or if it was just that much energy driving through the cabbage that put the big dent up top on the can. Doesn't look like it actually hit, that would be quite impressive! I've seen plenty of rounds I'd have put money on going through the lead plate that hit a crater and barely made a difference on the channel before, I think we can call that as going through and I wouldn't even worry about an asterisk for the crater 😁

I feel the same, not only have I not been disappointed in the guest shooters I’ve actually grown to love all of them including Danny who we obviously lost. OG is a genuinely funny person and seems like a really good guy on top of being a great shooter (probably the best on TFM) Everything I know about Jeff tells me he’s a good guy and he’s extremely talented when it comes to loading experimental projectiles and filming the rounds. Bla bla bla long story short I have nothing but positive things to say about the people who make the TFM channel work from the guest shooters to Jeff to the people who send in slugs etc, everyone involved not only seem like really good people they are also good at what they do so I have zero complaints about the creators, shooters or the mastermind/videographer

Guys, be nice to the guest shooters! They are nice enough to come out and spend time with Jeff, and although they may not always be the most professional, ya can’t be amazing without the experience - and they need to shoot to get more. You mach it, we'll watch it! Another great one, good shootin', Joe! Jeff, you did a fantastic job as always. Taking these experimental projectiles and making them fly must be challenging when they're all so different. One thing we've all learned is that rifling doesn't always make it better, and putting spin on steel or other hard metal slugs can be tough. These still did some major damage, and going through the lead plate demonstrates their effectiveness. Even with a starter hole!

Optimal rifling twist rate is based on the length of the projectile and speed it is driven. (We use weight as a guide because it is easier.) That slug might have been prohibitively long, standard slugs tend to be short.

Even though OG is my favorite, not everyone can be OG, and I kinda like the variety from time to time (hint: Brianna because she does have skill). Hopefully, Evan will send you a few more of those, I think a little adjustment on the sabot, sabot, or sabot, however it's pronounced 😅 will make these quite effective. Maybe if the slug maker could inscribe or mill grooves in the diameter of the slug, it would grip the sabot better and get the spin you need. Perhaps all that would be needed is a groove so light as to be a scratch for traction. Failing that, make the slug slightly smaller in diameter and plate it with lead to get a sacrificial surface for the rifling to engage. Once stabilized, that thing should go through a truck engine! Oh yes. That fact that Joe got that slug to strike the target ANYWHERE with that tumbling action speaks very highly of his shooting skills.

I wonder if you had a slower twist rate like through a rifled choke if you actually might have had more stability. With the rifled barrel spinning it up so fast and quickly there was slipping of the sabot. I know the my rifled choke does stabilize the heavier sabot slugs better than the lighter ones, at least I get much larger groups with the lighter sabot slugs than I do the heavier ones.

"You can't even buy a cabbage for that much!" --- Pure hilarity. Joe did great, those shells just need the right load and correction for sabot slip, more likely than not - there was a video not too long ago where you'd loaded the shells quite hot, and the performance was horrible. As soon as you pulled a handful of grains from the load, they flew with scary accuracy and IIRC, did a ton of damage from more nose-first impacts. I would love to have seen these wobbly guys flying through a ballistic gel block; I image the energy transfer must be incredible when they hit side-on like that. I suspect the slugs would only go through the lead plate if they could "slide" through - hit with a few degrees of deflection like the second one did. That way, the kind of "cutting" force is concentrated on an edge, and the slug will want to straighten itself through the plate. I think the near-vertical orientation of the slug when it bounced up off of the road is a pretty good sign of that. Face-on, the lead plate would probably act like soft armor and deform around the slug, deflect it from a good path, and absorb most of the energy, I imagine. I say they're plate-unalivers, too.

Complaints about guest shooters should be referred to the KMA department. I'd like to be a guest shooter when I come through that area to visit one of my daughters and her family in Sacramento from New Mexico. I'm originally from Los Banos.

At this point i think your channel should be called "The Evan Perry by proxy" channel. Definitely not complaining. Ive been a fan of the channel for years. I watched Danny's farewell video and bawled my eyes out. Might have been slightly intoxicated at the time. But that's how much of a fan i am. I love the technical ballistic channels on KZbin like yours and Paul Harrell's. I know Paul said not to mention it but he's also suffering from cancer as Danny did and I'm asking all the Taofledermaus people to watch his channel and above all pray for him. Its rare to see technical gun channels on KZbin and I would hate to see them go. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Jeff for the video. Guest shooter did great. Maybe a layer of paper towel in the sabot would help with rifleing engagement.
