The Big Catch: Tacklebox Complete 688 Token Guide

I had recently finished Filet Group's "The Big Catch: Tacklebox" prequel. Unfortunately, there were bugs in the game that prevented players from being able to obtain all the collectibles. When Filet Group announced that they had fixed the bugs, I replayed the game to acquire all 688 tokens. Since I was starting over and had a good idea of what I was doing, I decided to record the entire process. Hopefully, this helps everyone who is struggling to fish in the quirky game "The Big Catch: Tacklebox."

It's possibly one of the best demos i've ever played. Thanks for sharing the ending! I'm not that good to get the 688 coins XD. I can't wait to buy the final version of the game :).

I've made it pretty far in my own demo, getting 654 coins without external help or guides. Feel pretty damn proud, but i've got some cleanup to do before i get to see whats inside the vault. Making this my place to say that the first floor of Garden Temple's pole swinging is MUCH harder than the rest of the area, can't believe how impossible it felt to get past it but for anyone else stuck, just push through and keep on trying, you'll make progress!

Did you do it? I semi followed the guide, and i ended up with 667 out of 696 coins (25/25 fishes? Dont know how many you are supposed to collect), and I have no idea were the rest of the coins are, ive been aimlessly running around for houers looking at all possible places without finding any new coins...

@@dildino6199 Yes! It's a little tedious if you miss a few coins, but pay attention to the blue ball inside your compass when you approach an area. If it begins flashing red, there are coins to collect. Also, there are 26 fish in the demo, so you must have missed a fish somewhere

Awesome stuff! Though a way to get the coin from 1:08:36 without the boulder is to use the tightropes to jump super high and slam into the angled geometry near the mortar chicken's coop.

Nevermind, I figured it out. For anyone struggling first, go up to the mortat chicken's coop, break the jars near the torch facing the large coin and line yourself up near the torch, then get on the little ledge/lip for a bit of extra height, jump and slam into the slope which should put you into a slide and using that momentum press jump when reaching the edge of the platform. This might take a couple tries as it's quite tight but doable!

It's also possible to get it using a spinning ground slam on that same geometry without needing the tightropes!

Bless you for this sir! Any plans on covering this game on full release? Also where did you learn all your techs? (Like the spin jump on slopes and re-grapple hook for the speed boost?)

no worries! I will def be playing the full game, depending on how much content they jam into it will decide whether I 100% it or not. Also I kinda just messed around in the tutorial area and figured some stuff out. took me a little bit of time to understand the game is momentum based, you can bunny hop on water if your moving fast enough for instance.

I got my scales today, though have yet to climb to the highest point like you did hahah...it would be really cool if getting the outfit in the demo leads to Tackle wearing it in the full game, I'd love it if that was implemented

Impressive, but by the time I got my hands on this game (I can't call it a "demo", more a free prequel), the grand total was 696 coins, not 688. I'm not sure where the extra eight come into play...

I really have to watch your whole walk-through. The game is cruel enough without the constant re-opening of doors and re-lowering of reels. The save file only saves these when it feels like for me. I can only redo these puzzles so many times.

yeah its frustrating hopefully the guide can help you, as for the fish there are 26!. check that little pool outside the palace area, I think they added that one in an update

this game is incredibly difficult. the platforming is way more precise than any other "mascot" platformer i can think of. then again i never played some of those mascot platformers so what do i know lol

Try to hold down the jump button for as long as possible on your bounce up, if you haven't. You should go higher that way
