I'm sorry if the video comes across fuzzy on your laptops! I'm not sure what happened. It looks fine from the phone though.

I’m here like look at her, lol I had sisterlocks, shaved my sides, and then cut them all off too. I let my husband cut mine off, and I felt the exact same way afterwards! I have 4c, and the eco styler olive oil gel and a sponge brush will get you right! Excited to be sharing yet another journey with you!

Can we get an update! How is your hair growing? What are your plans after big chop! I’m a Sisterlock girl working to combine my locks now. Maybe one day I’ll just chop and start over with medium sized traditional locs. Thank you for sharing your whole journey!!

Your Sisterlocks were very beautiful. I don’t know that combining them were the best idea. That’s most likely why you were having problems. You are a beautiful lady, so whatever you do with your hair will be Awesome!! ❤️❤️❤️

OMG! My jaw dropped open when I saw this. I can totally relate as I took mine down some years back and was excited to go loose natural - but after a year or so I missed my SL so much that I had a new installation on very short hair just over three years ago. I would say that cutting is much better than combing them out (I combed mine out and my hair was so thin and damaged afterwards). Good luck on your new loose natural journey - looks cute! Oh, and keep your cut locs just in case. 🙂

Do you think that it would have made a difference in the locking if you had gotten your Sister Locs professionally combined?

100%. I also think what I did looked fine but it probably would have looked 10x better if I had someone do it for me.

So I watched when you combined your Sisterlocks. I then combined mine then unbraided them a week later. In June, I randomly decided to cut my Sisterlocks, after 2.5 years, and when I say, it feels SOOOOOOOOO good! I love your cut!

Hi Lavinia, I want to thank you For all of your videos I learned A lot about locks through your videos. For me you made the braid and eat and ban sink in my head I got it when I saw your video. At the end of this month I will be getting sister locks Through all the research, video watching and trying to learn as much as I could about sister locks, you were one of my deciding factors In seeing your locks you are my Lock crush You are beautiful, your hair is beautiful any way that you decide to where it. I want to say thank you so much, for all the inspiration that you have inspired me And many more like me to do. On to a new chapter in life I can't wait to can't wait to see more of you May God-bless you and strengthen you to continue to inspire people.

Yay 😍😍😍😍. I cut my Sisterlocks also during the July 4th weekend. It was fun while it lasted. I went through the SAME THINGS with my Sisterlocks minus adding the afro hair. It became too cumbersome. I use Miss Jessie's Pillow Soft Curls. Try it out as your fade grows out. That's what I did.

My daughter suggests the Doux mousse def texture foam. Says it works well... I went by Sally's today and couldn't find it. Amazon has it but it cost more 🥰❣️😊 Again, loving the cut!

I love the new look! I’ve wondered if that will be my choice if my hair thins much more. I think of the expense of getting the locs and the maintenance and then I think of the emotional and physical expense that comes with the thinning of hair and trying to “fix” or “figure out” problems that come with the hair journey….. I guess we will never stop paying for our hair no matter how much we do on our own… this is just another part of life’s journey…

I learned from another youtuber when locs that are already mature are combined, they will not loc together. When mature locs are braided or twisted together with the expectation they will eventually fuse, it does not happen. They can still be untwisted or unbraided yesrs later but will be stuck together at the root from interlocking or retwisting. When I learned that I popped over to you channel and sure enough you have taken them diwn and this was 1 of your reasons. Congratulations on the cut it looks great. Enjoy your hair and discover your natural curl with maximum hydration method. Maybe do locs again later beginning with the size you want.

I cut my 18-inch sisterlocks cuz they were so compromised by lack of reti's during the pandemic (I did not know how to reti until late in the pandemic as I went to my loctician everytime before). I went to another loctician for consultation to save my sisterlocks, but she was going to charge $750 over the course of 2-days. 😳 So, I took some scissors and cut them myself. I was super shocked how easily the locks untangled, tho. I, too, am rocking all the fun loose natural styles I didn't before and enjoy being able to switch up my looks so drastically from day-to-day, even. I say do NOT throw your locks away. You can croquet them back in if you want to install them again later. Your haircut is very becoming! Wash days are gonna be a BREEZE now! What is your channel going to focus on, now?

Love it, you look amazing. But I'm sad tough because you're my loc crush and you've kept them on for 4 YEARS, but I totally get it tough. I'm super scissor happy, spent 2 years in between fade cut and completely bold just because (no wigs or anything), don't know how I got to the 1 year mark seriously 😂😂😂😂. I'm going to try and keep my locs for at least as long as you
