Can I just say that I have really enjoyed watching this video and it's very educational for me especially when you are putting a dressing on a major bleed which I have never done

Hi, in maintaining an open airway, what if the casualty has a spinal injury, or maybe we are not sure if the casualty has a spinal injury, are we suppose to tilt the head to open the airway?

Yes saving a life is and being in a wheelchair for the rest of your life is better than being under ground

Breathing comes first, before anything else. Like @Hammy Harry, said you would rather be in a wheelchair than dead.

I'd say checking to make sure they're able to breathe is more important than phoning anyone.

Shaking the victim? Touching the causality with no barrier devices (blood is not the only bodily fluid and a causality can vomit at any time). Two fingers on the chin does not work, you actually have to hold the chin and pull the mouth open. These three instructors have obviously never actually had to CPR in real. May I recommend triple A: Area (danger, environmental, safety check), Awake (Level of Consciousness) and Ambulance (Do you need it?) then proceed into the Primary Assessment (ABCD - Airway, Breathing, Circulation, DeFib) For your chocking discussion for the students, talk is cheap. You should be demonstrating correct procedures. Five back blow, five abdominal thrusts. For wounds, you discuss not having gloves which is a great question to pose. But, you should have discussed alternatives, such as having the causality dress the wound themselves or using the sleeve of your shirt to cover your hands, not just randomly "cover up scraps". Bystanders, "have them face the other way"...what? You need to provide them with clear direction as what you need them to do. Again, proper demonstration is required as you will have a trickle down effect with your candidates.

Put your money where your mouth is. Put a video up. They did and while it may not have been to your perfect standards at least they did something. You didn't even state your qualifications, maybe your qualified maybe your just reading out of a book or watching your boxed Baywatch set. Their tap and gentle shake was spot on no harm was done to the patient, with the patients beard you could have pulled on his hair lift the chin, but tilting the head far back does open the airway. If you skin is intact it is a barrier, Yes having gloves is far superior but it is hard enough to get people to take the class let alone get them to carry equipment. The choking demo was adequate, yes a full demo would be nice but remember it was a question answer session. For your info I been teaching Rescue and First Aid for 30 yrs.

This is for students and people who want to learn first aid, not an ALS lesson, it is to teach people to help save lives if they ever need to, it's not training to be a paramedic. Have some respect, do you volunteer for them? I'm guessing no, you'd just rather sir at home and point out what you think they are doing wrong.

Actually, as is typical of SJA, there are quite a few things wrong with the information provided here, some of which could have negative consequences for both the patient and the person trying to help them.
