***** I actually like his talking tbh. While I do agree he has a questionable balance of game analyzation vs side stories, every single commentator has a form of this balance. To only blame scar for talking about side stories is wrong, every commentator tells side stories while its like 3-4 stocks of game 2,3 or 4. But I for one like the side stories, I think he did a good job of covering the game as well. Also, why should he 100% focus on the game when its only winners quarters.

Can someone please tell me in a detailed explanation how stage-picking and counter-picking works in tournaments? I feel like I've seen sets before where Mango/Armada etc. lost twice and picked the same map twice. or battlefield was played like 3 times. So I just don't understand what ruleset I should play under

Homemade waffles is the og commentator that started smash commentary. Hes not around much anymore but i agree he should come back.

Psychoace homemade waffles is very active as a player and commentator still in norcal and he actually commentated at all the smash majors this summer except CEO, he commentated MLG anaheim crew battles. evo 2014, and the big house 4. But he is really good tho! He is ranked 4th in norcal one of the best regions in the world.

Diwakaran Ilangovan I played Brawl since it came out. I saw Jigglypuff as a consistent bad character. And because of me playing so much Brawl I´m very good at Smash 4 now.

Flick the stick as you're getting hit. Then your character will move a very small amount in the direction you flicked it BEFORE knockback is applied. Whenever you see Fox Uair Puff and the first hit hits, but the second doesn't, that's why. He Smash DI's the first hit and the tiny movement gets him out of the way of the second.

zachthegreat88 This is a good explanation, but the second hit of Fox's Uair missing is not always due to smash DI. Sometimes the Fox player just mess up the timing and only get the weak hit anyway.

Ik this was 7 years ago but I think smash DI is when you DI out of multi-hit moves, and it requires wiggling the stick rapidly instead of just holding a direction like regular DI. I don't play, this is just what I've gathered from listening to people talk about it, so I could be wrong.

The extra colorful Commentator is annoying as heck
