Sunburns are easy to get there in Kailua-Kona. Lived on Big Island and that part of the island is known as burn prone.

Our last family trip to Kona we stayed at a condo. We got some fresh abalone and lobster tails at the farm, got some steak from the market and grilled by the pool. That was fun and onolicious!

Loved my Hilo Hattie’s in Kihei. I’m not sure we still have one. Maybe in Lahaina. I have a Condo in Kihei.

Bill & Lisa, Here’s a suggested place to eat: Lava Java, which is near the Kona Village. Recommended by our hotel for lunch. It was very good and moderately priced.

Mrs. Barry’s cookies are my favorite! Our favorite place when we take our family staycation! You can order online if you’re craving for more cookies. They ship all over the world! Kona brewing beers now available at Sam’s club and Costco. Thank you for sharing! Aloha🤙🏼

Next time you guys are on the B.I, if you get to the Hilo side, you MUST eat at Ken's. They're just minutes from the airport in Hilo, and they have some bomb ono grinds! I'm a Maui girl but I go to B.I every few months, and if I fly in on the Hilo side, Ken's is always my first stop. Ono grinds, big portions, good prices, and wide variety, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Next time youʻre on the big island, our favorite places to eat: Chubbyʻs (in the Kona bowling alley) has the BEST teriyaki beef, Umekeʻs for poke (Kona), Original Big Island Shave Ice for the BEST shave ice youʻll ever taste (check their IG for locations), and Hawaiian Style Cafe (Waimea or Hilo) for amazing food (breakfast is sold all day), and Texʻs in Honokaʻa has the best malasadas EVER - canʻt wait to see what your next trip to Hawaii holds!

Oh how I love that little outdoor produce and craft market in Kona, near the library and just a Little but south of the church. Huge heads of butter leaf lettuce for a $1 and 5 huge avocados for $2!

ABC Stores , Kona Beer ..... two of my favorite things in Vegas! Yes, I know this was a Hawaii video , but I've only experience those things in Sin City. All that shark bait surfing in the water... crazy humans!
