For sure, if it were criminal the report would be out there and anybody could've pulled it up and they would've said, my guess is that it is some contract breaching action since neither party wants to say stuff (legalese battles can be fought relying on a single poorly worded statement). Mixer went to doodoo and twitch tried to backpedal on their deal kicking out dr disrespect and now they're probably ironing out the details behind closed doors and they hoped they could've convinced dr disrespect with some crumbs but it seems dr disrespect has lawyered up and he's probably gonna get them hard with punitive damages.

If it was someone with no reputation, sure, they'd be talking out of their asses, but if you're a source like Slasher you live and die by that reputation. It would have to be something with significant legal implications and with an extreme interest in not letting it go public. A lot of people might not like this answer, but my first instinct is a sexual assault or rape allegation and the victim themselves is unwilling to go public with it, but whatever evidence they presented privately was good enough that Twitch felt a permaban, even in absence of any PR issues due to the allegation not being public, was the best move. Something like this also makes sense considering how Guy has essentially taken this lying down and moved on from Twitch instead of truly going to fight for his position. If he was banned for a BS reason, surely raising a stink and making things as public as possible would be the best move, but *EVERY* party involved seems to be in agreement that the public can't be told the truth, at least for now.

"Doc is indeed done, and not just on Twitch" Im here a few months short of a year later, Doc joined KZbin, peaked at just over 500k concurrent viewers on his return stream, and is slowly but surely gathering momentum on the way to the top of YT Streamers. Everyone who says they "know why he got banned" just spits out "oh its too sensitive, I cant say why" bullshit. They dont know why. Twitch banned him and told no one why, not even him. The most likely reason is because the deal they signed with him was huge, and they made that deal in response to Shroud and Ninja heading to Mixer. After Mixer failed, they couldnt keep Doc bc he was still growing and deals would cost more, so they had to cut him. No "its too sensitive I cant believe it oh god its so horrible" bullshit.

Since we're talking theories, I've seen a few in these threads that might have some legitimacy, so I'd like to pitch my own. Most of these exclusive contracts also have NDAs attached to them, revolving around the contents of said contracts. My running theory is that the Doctor is quiet for two large reasons: 1) He actually has no idea what this is about, as he has claimed, and 2) Abiding by the NDA as a precaution until things are cemented one way or another. The Doctor is a persona, yes, but he's pretty blunt and forward, even in costume. So whether the man tells people how it is behind the costume as well or not, we truly only know the character. If he knew what was up, he'd tell us. I'd like to think this is a matter of corporate greed and let's be honest, Twitch is owned by Amazon. Also as a secondary note, it is apart of Twitch's whole agreement and contracts you sign as a partner or even associates for lower levels, that they can take any such actions against your account, like an At-Will employer. So since this contract was around exclusivity, aka a Non-Compete, they would still have the free reign to ban his account. I'm not defending Twitch's actions, as I personally believe that any punishment should have a reason attached publically, but we're not entitled to either. Let's just hope that a big disagreement came about and things work out amicably, it won't, but let's hope.

My theory is that Twitch didn't even do the permanent ban on purpose, but they're refusing to acknowledge such a serious mistake (especially against someone so popular) to the point that they could be exaggerating or just flat out lying about the intent behind it. Their claims that it's a "serious subject that they can't say" seems pretty reminiscent of Jeffree Star's "receipts" he claimed he had against James Charles. It would also explain why the Doctor would have a good reason to pursue a lawsuit, because if this is correct, the Twitch counsel could potentially be guilty of defamation. But that's just a theory, A TWITCH THEORY!
