Man, speedkick himself said that at tournaments, people are playing against a nerfed Atif, because of nerves. That's why he couldn't beat Arslan cause Arslan just has that nerves of steel.

@m3lodeth4 ай бұрын
@funkrates4778 possible. But from the looks of it, he seemed more motivated...You can't blame fatigue for a loss cause these pro players play Tekken all day just to train and in that finals day, he only had to play a few games compared to their regular training.
@funkrates47784 ай бұрын
@@m3lodeth it’s the entire three days together. The fatigue doesn’t go away. It’s a tournament that lasts three days. Everyone is fatigued. But it’s worse for those in losers because it’s more games to play. Anyway, he definitely was upset about losing to Arslan. No doubt.
@Daruudes4 ай бұрын
And also Arslan is the greatest Tekken player. That 'fatigue' point makes zero sense btw, Arslan sent him to losers finals from winners finals, and that match lasted 6 minutes...

Yeah they both played the same number of games until Winners Finals. So basically, Atif just has 1 more game which is the losers finals.

That set told us more about lvls in tekken than words could. I told my friends who missed evo top 6 ( timezone issue) to watch at least the Grand Finals and the losers finals. And Nobi super strong through out the tournament in general. He also beat JDCR in a drag mirror. This was not Nobi having a bad day or anything. Pakistan is just that strong.

I think Nobi here is the receiver of a Disgruntled Atif who just lost from Arslan, and want his revenge ASAP. Atif's Dragu was hyper aggressive like it was in a hurry, all through 9 rounds 😮

@@praetorarsonist69 personally I think Nobi went back to his hotel room and took it easy, rested, while Atif studied his matches that he had with possible opponents in top 6. My take: French players took over the DBFZ scene because they redeveloped the team structure that had carried over from MvC which they made obsolete. The reason they made it obsolete was that DBFZ introduced the active tag mechanic meaning team structures could be much more versatile and the original pros had yet to see how they could make the most of that. The traditional point/mid/anchor structure was no longer the undisputed optimal formula, but it took a while for the new model to catch on. I think the same about Pakistan. It just seems like that same type of pressure cooker situation of a new approach to game mechanics that develops in isolation due to increased difficulty in travel. Sort of a mutation into a speciation if you’ll permit an analogy that feels a little pretentious. Bear with me (and old heads please put your salt to the side for a second): I think part of the issue is that legacy Tekken players often dismiss updates to the Tekken formula as “gimmicks for casuals/scrubs who don’t care about fundamentals” whereas Pakistan’s pro players have developed a sense of embracing the new focus on rushdown, more aggression, more risk/reward etc - yet without neglecting the fundamentals that made the older pro players so dominant. I think that’s why they’re just sweeping tournaments at the moment - they’ve adapted to “new Tekken” in their pressure cooker.

this is not the difference, just a day before nobi nearly took out atif. Yes atif and arslan are most likely (with little room for doubt) the 2 best players in the world but let's not pretend they are unbeatable or that they are head and shoulders above everyone else. What you saw in this match is not something you will see anytime soon. This was a once in a lifetime match and probably the best match Atif ever made and ever will make because what he did to Nobi today was absolutely outstanding.

As a commentator and promoter of Takken 8, this is the time to create hype for a rivalry. Make a video name that may create a feud between Takken Titans and clip the footage of Atif from the 2019 Japan event where Awais and Atiff finished first and second. There Atif also showed his proudness. It will make a good betting feud. Good for business don't you think? We need to make money and doesn't matter how it comes.
