As someone who already does spend quite a bit on this game, I'm not sure how I feel about MORE spending being required for decent account growth. The game is already quite expensive if you are trying to catch up to a later-game type experience after beginning the game long after the old accounts. For example, I joined 13 months ago. I've spent enough to be over 7m gp, with quite a few extra omis, zetas, non-lsb reliced squads, 6-dot gold mods, etc, than an account of my age would normally be expected to have. It was NOT cheap. I've been considering buying the Conquest + Pass for extra Proving Grounds, rather than spending so many crystals on a couple refreshes, but with these new changes, that might be too much cost now. People often think of players as two groups: Whales that spend obscene amounts of money, and free to play, and CG seems to operate based on this steriotype. But I would assert, that the majority of spending players aren't quite the "thousands of dollars a month" type, but rather closer to a hundred to three-hundred per month, with MANY that probably spend less than 50 a month making up another massive group. It is those of us in the middle of the F2P and super-whales, those of us in either the few hundred or under fifty per month groups, who make up the core of the base and probably spend the most money overall for CG. CG is alienating those of us who have found a comfortable spending rhythm by pushing things further and further behind paywalls that only the super-whales will consistently spend on, and by decreasing or even removing content that previously held value. In regards to that last sentence, people farm and spend based on Assault Battles, so removing Assault Battles or decreasing their availability is spitting on our investments. Also, I had recently been purchasing refreshes of Tie Interceptor and Scythe Proving Grounds, while building Inqs, so that my Chimera could counter Leviathan and other difficult fleets. I'd spent a LOT of crystals and money on this, and suddenly CG just totally destroyed the counter and annihilated the Scythe's power under it. So my investment is meaningless to them, all because I wasn't playing back a few years ago when other people built it? Technically, I was spending MORE money to build this fleet than older players, because they had Conquest back then to get those two ships, whereas I had to start from scratch with Proving Grounds. This type of malicious business practise is absolutely wretched and horrible for a game's health and player base. If so much of their monetized offers and content wasn't so obscenely expensive, maybe it wouldn't be as big of a deal. It's insane how much it costs to whale on zetas and omis and high relics. With hundreds of toons to relic and so many potential abilities to zeta/ omi, there's no reason they need to be SO pricey. It feels like they still have the prices of these resources from back when they first created these types of abilities in the game, when getting a zeta on someone was like how getting 3 omis on someone is today. But it's not 2018 anymore, it's 2024, the game is getting older, and they need to re-examine a lot of their pricing for updates like this to be better received. Why isn't there a "zeta/ omi/ omega/ ship omega/ prestige/ and maybe even mod mats" lightspeed bundle? There's no reason why they haven't offered a pure resource LSB after all the character LSB, to allow us to catch up a bit. I'd pay good money for a LSB that offers like 10-12 full zeta upgrades, 3 full omicrons, a few hundred omegas, 150 or so ship omegas, a few hundred prestige, and a enough mod materials to take maybe 15-20 grey mods to gold 6-dot mods. I've had to buy all these resources on their own, and it's just poorly priced and managed. I think if CG adjusts their bad pricing, reverses some of their asinine changes recently, and offers more player-friendly packs and content for the "normal" whales that keep the game afloat, then people would be much more open to changes like this.

I am very glad SR2 is simmable, took me 10 attempts to complete it twice, last time took 3, before I did it in 2 and before that 12. Its so random.

I have a Battle Pass in another game, and if you complete it in a season, you earn enough in Battle Pass coins to get the next one. Thus it works out as a one time charge. I hope this one is that way as well.

This is true but a lot of battlepasses lately have been not including currency to get it back and it looks like you can't purchase it with crystals

I whale on GL Ashoka but after that I am on the fence since it is really costly and the return on investment isn’t clear.
