Right? Like isn’t that the whole point of a contract? So things can’t change like that!

I just talked about this on my current KZbin video! The instability is unreal!!! We need to band together to walk away whenever they unfairly change our contracts. Until them, we will continue experiencing this issue!

That is breach of contract, they should not be able to do that. I am an on call travel RN, but I’m salary so I am guaranteed pay even if I don’t work, and anything over 40hrs/week I get paid overtime. However my employer pays for flight, car rentals and hotels that I put on a company credit card and I also get a biweekly stipend for food, etc. You need to find another job. There are better compensation packages out there. Good luck!

May I ask which travel nursing company you're with or where I may find one like yours. I'm currently in nursing school and curious about starting as a travel nurse once I graduate. Thanks in advance

@@NurseInTraining I do not work for a travel agency. My employer hires RN exclusively to travel within their facilities only. It is a dialysis company, called Concerto Renal Services.

She said “MY RATE GOT CUT BY $700 A WEEK AND IN TOTAL THATS $2800 A MONTH”.
@CraftHarlot
@CraftHarlot Жыл бұрын
Actually, her lay was cut by $700 a week, and there are 4.3 weeks in a month. So, they cut her pay by $3010 a month. They get you to their location, you work for awhile and get comfortable with the job, then they cut the rate. Lots of agencies are doing this because they can. Bait and switch.

You should try Texas Children’s Hospital in the Med Center in Houston, Tx, they are always looking for peds nurses! And rates for peds have been high in Texas and we are a tax free state as well! I’m also a travel nurse but for ICU, I stopped to take a break from traveling because the rates are just terrible for my field as well
@kudziisuuASMR
@kudziisuuASMR Жыл бұрын
It’s hard to find stuff in your specialty because peds has such a low turnover rate so most hospitals have all the nurses they need in pediatric units

The same thing happened to me recently when I was in Northern California. I decided to work through it but I decided not to renew because that hospital has a history of decreasing the pay around a certain time each year. There are a lot of travel positions but it’s so many nurses traveling right now so the field is becoming increasingly competitive. Do whatever is best for you ❤😊

How can they cut your pay halfway through the contract? I thought that's wtf the contracts were for? It's BS that employers can always get away with this BS, and employees are just supposed to accept it?? That's a huge pay cut..

I’m shocked $2,800 a month?????? My partner made $3,200 a month working at a factory and we can barely afford anything on that and had to move back in with my parents while I am doing nursing pre reqs…. 😢

I’m pretty sure she means she’s losing 2,800 a month as her pay got cut by 700 a week. Not that she’s making 2,800 per month.

Where do you live?! Thats is enough to comfortably split rent with one other person in my area where the average one bedroom apartment is about 1500, unless you aren't working due to school. $800 a week/$20 isn't too bad

$2800 a month don’t sound right. You only get paid $19.44 an hour??? I work at a grocery store and get paid $17.63 an hour. Plus my cousin worked as a travel nurse and was making a little over $2,000 a week. The math ain’t mathing.
