Watched the sailing this morning. To me the skill set of the sailors/cyclists are much higher than the previous Americans Cup. Besides that the sailing was boring boring boring.

My first Americas Cup was 67' when Bus Mosbacher sailed Interpid to victory. I watched 3 races from the deck of a carrier. My day was Mayor of Middletown.

I don't care what country the cats or sailors are from. They are people, they are boats, and they are great sailors... Leave the nationalism to the Olympics and the politicians.

Does anybody actually care about sailgp? I love to watch the olympic sailing and will be watching every minute of AC coverage. But SailGP leaves me totally cold. What are the viewing figures like? I get that they will get a decent on site crowd, especially venues they haven't been to before. But what about TV / online viewers??
