Theory about aluminum sleeve vibration is not real. In air-model world all high performance engines are AAC vs ABC. Gotta be bearing.

The engine has brand new boca bearings. They are smooth as butter and the engine runs flawlessly now with the new brass sleeve. Car engines run in completely different conditions. There's a lot less load on a car engine. Planes also use more than twice the amount of oil in their fuel as cars. It may be true that the sleeve doesn't actually vibrate in the case, but there is something going on inside the engine in relation with the aluminum sleeve that is causing problems. All the problems I had went away when i put the brass sleeve in. I'm sure there's a way for me to make the aluminum sleeve work, but it's really not worth it for me.

@@moralesrcdesigns3784 Good point on more stress for the air model engines. Good example: no ceramic bearings in air-model engines. They just couldn't stand the stress. It's interesting to see how different the engines are in auto. Thanks for the excellent content.
