Those sirios were some of the faster engines back in the day. Should still be highly competitive now. Cool breakdown and analysis of two very strong engines for there time. Nice vid bro!👍

Thank you! L.M. Factory (The factory that makes Sirio, Werks, Orion, and more) made engines are my favorite.

I just bought an old Kyosho V one RRR with a worn out Sirio S12 engine with the Black Head. Do you know if any of the other cylinder sleeves, pistons, connecting rods, crank shafts, etc from the other S12 variants will fit this engine? Like for instance the XXX, Evo 3,4 etc?

I know the evo 2,3, and 4 sleeves are all interchangeable. The Evo 3 and maybe 4 have a different sized wrist pin than the Evo 2. The Evo 3 and 4 also use a 12mm crank while the Evo 2 uses an 11mm. I believe the XXX is based off of the Evo 4. Most parts are interchangeable but there are some things to be aware of

@@moralesrcdesigns3784 Thats awesome man! Thanks for the help. I'm on the fence about re-pinching the sleeve, and buying a new one. Adam Drake does it for 25 bucks. I think im going to try and buy a new sleeve for one of the variants and see it if fits. if it doesn't then I will need to have the engine re-pinched.

@@TexasHill Drake is the man to go to when it comes to pinching sleeves. I also do it, but my method isn’t as good as his (it has some inconsistencies that I’m still trying to solve). I have an engine repinched by him and that things runs beautifully. Nothing wrong with getting a new piston and sleeve set either. You can get a new sleeve set, two new con rods, and have the old sleeve repinched. Then you’ll have a backup piston, sleeve, and rod set ready to go. Also, always make sure to use new wrist pin clips. The last thing you want is an old clip breaking or popping out. The clips are pretty much universal across all engines so I doesn’t really matter which brand you get. I recommend the reds clips though since you get the most for your money

@@moralesrcdesigns3784 - Your the Man! Thanks so much! I'm on board with everything you said. I"m going to stock up on a sleeve for it since I all ready got 2 rods for it, and send the original off to Drake for service. I can't wait to run it in my Kyosho V one RRR!!!
