I've never understood my total disinterest in sports (GROWN men still playing children's games) with boxing being at the very bottom of my list. In most sports great meaures are taken to avoid injuries but in boxing, the sole purpose is to beat your opponent senseless. Look what happened to Mohammed Ali....attained world championship, then spent the rest of his life sitting in a wheelchair while sh*tting himself.

People want to believe things. It's not even about the iq. That's why story of Lucifer is my favourite part of Christian legendarium. No matter how smart you are, if you have ego and feel like your perception of reality is the reality, you will fall on your face.
@PrismaticTentacleКүн бұрын
@@DIABOLICAL-6 i took a different reading from that story, but that's an insightful perspective none the less. Thank you for sharing.
@DIABOLICAL-6Күн бұрын
@@PrismaticTentacle Well it's a complex story and more of a canon than actual biblical material. The one that came to your mind is probably from Paradise lost, which actually holds the same meta plot. It implies that the satan(ego) was actually the god all along and Lucifer (not satan) is the spirit that frees humanity. God is up in the heavens detached from reality and Lucifer was down in hell feeling the reality very keenly. When Lucifer won he caught himself before developing an ego (becoming new god) and the old god started to develop empathy for humans. Paradise lost is masterpiece. When you detache from reality of pain you become delusional and that's literally why civilization fall. Hard times create good times and so on. Satanism is actually a Christian heresy.

When I was a kid, I was looking thru the TV guide (late 70’s, early 80’s) and I mistook “Benny Hinn”, for “Benny Hill”, and I was VERY disappointed in the level of entertainment and comedy. For those who aren’t familiar, Benny Hill is a British comedian who had a very funny show in the 70’s and 80’s.

I had a similar experience. Saw "Hinn", assumed it was a typo and they meant Hill. I didn't watch though, as it was on in the wee hours of the morning.
