The final straw for me was when my former pastor’s wife would get up on stage and brag about how her god found her purse. And then proceeded to tell us all the harrowing tale of her journey to the mall and how, after she left and started driving home, she discovered her purse was missing. “Oh no!” you say. On a scale of 1 to 10, with the holocaust as number 10, you would think her issue was a level 100. And guess what, her god has the purse waiting for her at the customer service desk at the very last store she went to. My gawd! That’s a miracle if I ever heard one. And I’ve only been dealing with cPTSD since childhood with no relief for 60 years until an awesome psychologist suggested some things that finally opened my eyes to the ridiculous world of theology and religion. I’m free now. Finally free. No god, no cheesus, no religion at all. It just sucks that I spent the vast majority of my 70 years fighting a fight mentally that just wasn’t even there to begin with. The cognitive dissonance is finally gone. No more black-out drinking and definitely no more drugs from the street. I’d thank god for keeping me alive this long but there’s the rub…where TF was he all those years of my praying for help. Now I know. He was helping my pastor’s wife recover her purse from the store at the mall.
