Thanks for these tips- they are excellent!. I did the drills in my back yard 10-15 times and then hit 25 balls at the range. First 3-5 poor (didn’t let my wrists hinge after focusing on my right hand). After that, I hit the vast majority of them great! The shoulder drill is helping me to keep from over-rotating, and as you advised, gives me a trigger to start the down string. I completely now get your point that a good backswing really sets you up for success.

Alex, as usual a simple well presented set of tips and all very relevant to me and many others I'm sure. However, because of my advancing years and too much loud music ! I think my hearing might just be going. It seemed like every time you went to hit the ball or do a demo I had trouble hearing you. Might be time to get your mic back on? 😜📣⛳ Keep up the good work.

Alex, I think this is one of your best videos. Thank you. I need to work on all three of your tips. Candidly, I’ve been avoiding my driver because it’s so unreliable (and I’m working on my irons and short game). Last week I shot 80 without using driver...😳...this needs to change!

That final quote is the truth. Centered strikes trump all. Increasing your ball speed and smash factor through better contact at a more controlled speed is better than over swinging hoping for that odd one you catch perfect.

I'm the guy who opens the face on the way back. In the past when I try your drill or similar, I tend to hit German shots afterwards... I.e. Hoken Fockers..... What drill do you have for keeping the club face from closing down too much during impact. My whole golf life has been rolling my hands to square the face... I 've been scratch doing this and feel that I can be more consistent if I don't roll my hands... Thanks

I don't know how you play, but I know you teach very well, and at your age that doesn't happen to many. I watch so many that talk a good game, and yet when it comes to hitting a golf shot for real....they simply can't do it. Nice work.

Lovd these tips.. can i ask I'm 6.1" and use a 45.5 driver. I hit most shots from lower heel anf the driver feels too long. If i choke down an inch or so strike goes more central but is this right Alex?
@AlexElliottGolf3 жыл бұрын
hmm did you get a fitting with your driver?
@darrenbell63763 жыл бұрын
@@AlexElliottGolf i got fit was the best i went with sim 2 max and ventus blue reg shaft bug bad shots are finding low heel. When i choke down grip strike starts to go back central telling me i possibly need a shorter shaft
