I had the same problem I trained heavy ie less reps and didn't focus on the basics .btw I am litterally forced to do calisthenics . I didn't push to faliure Iand I didn't take restdays and did less rest inbetween sets making me quit the entire workout So here is what I did and is working Train with high intensity focus on quality reps less weekly frequency . You put weights on the bar when you get strong at the moment. Start heavy then decrease weight and increase reps .and this might sound crazy but be template on the last set .then 1 set of limb work and maybe add some arm wrestler grip work like hanging to absolute brutal faliure then eat sleep and come back the next week I mainly do push pull leg workout since I am a hybrid calister and do I do sprints weekly and legdays every 2 weeks if you know what I mean (the Tom platz method ) Now I am 16 yrs and 5 days old and have 2 year of semi consistent training and studying muscle calisthenics and sport science from podcasts and people online Hope you're doing good and Assalamu alikum
