I like it when Jessie and James have strong connections with their Pokemon. I wish they took the Alolah gang with them but I respect their decision. I miss Mime Jr. Yammega and the others. My wish is that because they were using Meowth's coin instead of paying for the services they get cut off from the machine. I feel that it would be better for Jessie and James to be like Ash and Goh. Each of them getting a new pokemon from a different region. They already gen 1 2 and 8 representation with Meowth Wobbufett and Chewtle. Give them 3 pokemon each maybe give Jessie a Sandiconda and James a Misdreavous to be become a Mismagius. Idk but I'd like to see it.

I actually have a suggestion to maybe fix this issue. What if they kept some Pokémon they get out of the vending machine. For example, Jessie keeps the Chewtle and battles with it more often, but maybe she uses the vending machine to get another Pokémon that can be used in a double battle with Chewtle. That way, we can have a memorable Pokémon for Jessie, while still being able to show off new Pokémon from different regions. The same can be used for James, maybe he keeps a Pokémon from the vending machine permanently, but can also use the vending machine for a temporary Pokémon in a double battle with his permanent Pokémon.

Mareanie could make a nice substitute for James for when the vending machine can't really be used e.g in a building. Would also be nice to see Alola referenced more because its been shown about the least amount of times whether its Pokémon or region or characters. It makes sense to shift Alola to later in the anime because we just got done with Alola and to see it again so quickly after Sun & Moon ended would make some people annoyed. (TLDR: Mareanie for James' Perma 'mon)

I mean it make more sense to give them their own pokemon to use on missions instead of letting them borrow pokemon from a stupid vending machine? My main issue with Journeys is something that a lot of people like which is Ash's team. Like everyone else I like that his team is more powerful than usual but it's too focused around Kanto. The only Pokemon not from Kanto is Riolu (as well as sort of Farfetched) and makes his team feel less creative since they had the chance to give Ash a variety of different Pokemon from different regions but instead just focused on kanto

I don't even care if they continue to use the gacha machine for some assist, but let them catch there own pokemon too! I was so happy when chewtle appeared again, it's sad that it felt like a genuine accomplishment when they caught a galar pokemon, and it was strong too, but it looks like we might not even see it again which sucks. And there's so much potential for them in the galar region, chewtlle was a cute addition that I wish stayed, there's galarian wheezing, morpeko which is like an evil pikachu, and cramorant just looks like it was designed for team rocket. There's no better time than now to let them catch pokemon.

As soon as team rocket first appeared and they pulled out vending machine pokeballs I was upset. I get people are saying it makes them stronger, but I've never looked to team rocket to be actually intimidating villains. I love the episodes about them catching their Pokémon and bonding with them, one of the most memorable to me being James and his Inkay. I like seeing their connections with their Pokémon as it shows who they really are and gives them real character development. I'm gonna be sad if team rocket just end up being generic villains from now on

The change that I would make, is to get rid of the gacha machine, and have Jessie only use her Chewtle, and have James catch another Galar Pokémon down the road. As for their own schemes and how they would battle with Ash and Go, just have them use their machines like they have been doing all the time way back when. That way, at the very least, they would have time to have a unique bond with their Pokémon, and that is A BILLION times better than the gacha machine.

TR having the same now just single (since Unova) Pokemon each for 100-200 eps at a time is in itself a problem that needed a remedy. The remedy it needed however was for Jessie/James to go back to catching 3 Pokemon each per generation to help the diversity of gags. But I guess my fear is executives are losing interest in Team Rocket and using them to introduce new viewers to hundreds of old Pokemon might be the one reason keeping them around from a business standpoint.

The Sobble episode and the Heracross begin to highlight that some of the Pokemon they draw are chosen by writers for gag purposes. In the latter they get Scolipede and Drapion, who are immediately attracted to the honey Ash and Go have spent time helping the character of the day lay out (to lure out a Pinsir) which leaves Meowth to enter battle and get thrashed. I’d like to see the writers mix it up with the use of this mechanic, perhaps Jessie or James get a Pokemon they’ve previously raised and become attached to the one that’s on hand. It’d make a great continuity note for them to fall back into old habits with regards to the Pokemon they’re using.

I dislike it because I genuinely enjoy the episodes and scenes about team rocket and their Pokémon. Like, James meeting Inkay was so cute. Generally seeing them care about their Pokémon gives team rocket more personality. I don't ever see them as the real villains so I don't agree with "the vending machine is good cuz now they're strong enough to beat up Pikachu"........ They're good characters and I don't want such a huge portion of their depth to just be cut out. Hope that gave some insight to another perspective!

Would 've been funny if some of their old Pokémon like Seviper or Yanmega would reappear thanks to the Vending machine. They have to do something at headquarters. :D Anyways, I like the fact that those highly trained Team Rocket Poémon stand much more of a chance than the Pokémon of Jessie and James. Seems they were never as weak as they seemed to be. But I agree, I miss the wholesome moments between JJ and their Pokémon ... they tend to get more in later series. While you seem to prefer SM, I never liked it as much as XY, because of the crappy animation style which ruined some of TRs greatest moments. Mimikyu and Marene were great additions, but so were Inkay, Pumpdjinn, Lickitung, Arbok, Weezing, Cacnea, VIctreebel, the ghostmask, dustox, seviper, yanmega and so on. XY had the best animation style since the original series. It was for TR moments a great improvement from Best Wishes, but afterwards it got unfortunatly not better. I also don't like the fact, that they are forced to leave their Pokémon behind ... this takes away chance for heartbreaking leaving scenes like Cacnea and Dustox had. Now they are forced to leave the Pokémon in HQ "so they wouldn't arise suspision" (Best Wishes is lone gone, so give them back their Pokémon), are forced to hand over their Pokémon as to proof they had managed to do something or else. This is sad. Those Pokémon deserve better and it would give TR much more great episodes.

I just hope season 2 in Journeys, gets better because so far in the first season is a little bit stale and doesn't improve much in some of the episodes it's almost as bad as the Black and White series with Sun and Moon to the mix of having tons of fillers in the show it feels like Goh show than Ash, it's mostly about capturing Pokémon than just battling and bonding with them. Here a list of what's wrong with this show so far: 1.Goh is kinda bland and doesn't have much of a purpose in the show other than collecting Pokemon. I mean, what good is a trainer if his first pokemon wants to get stronger, but he's not interested in battling other trainers, he's only interested to capture more pokemon in his collection and also if he feels like using his Pokémon to capture them, and he barely bonds with them in a couple of episodes? Goh as the main character, to me it's a mixed bag of how he is portrayed in the show so far. Sometimes, I think the writers of the show are the same writers who work on the Black and White series or they are just being lazy, rushing things, and giving him special treatment because it's a little bit too soon for Goh to have Cinderace, I mean he barely does some training with his first Pokemon, and he doesn't improve his other attacks except Ember which is the only attack he improved in the show. Is like they are trying to make Goh be like Ash in the first season when he was a rookie, while also trying to make him an equal to Ash as an experienced trainer, that defeated stronger trainer in every region he's in, saves the world a dozen times, and defeated legendary pokemon each series. I mean Goh barely developed in the first season, I just think that he should stop capturing more Pokemon, and doing some more training and bonding with the Pokemon he already has, so he can be a stronger trainer, and be a little bit more matured and smarter when comes battling stronger Pokemon. Heck, in episode 40 Goh was trying to capture Zapdos which is b.s if you asked me. How does an inexperience trainer and untrained Raboot manage to beat a legendary, when you saw a couple of Ash Ketchum Pokémon defeated legendary pokemon in the past, or maybe Zapdos is the weakest of the bird trio? 2. Ash should be smarter and matured like in the X and Y series, and his current team is a little bit weak, he has two fully-evolved Pokemon and he doesn't train them, the only one on his team who has potential is his Riolu who is now a Lucario unless he's training his team off-screen then that would be a different story. He should also get more Pokemon on his team, because so far in the show, Goh has been capturing more Pokemon like a mad man in possessed, and he's a hoarder when comes to Pokemon. He should also get more development in this series instead of staying on the sidelines and letting Goh doing whatever he wants, and he doesn't do much mentoring for Goh, he's more being his bro to hang with, and having a lot of fun to go on different regions he went. 3. Koharu barely does anything in the show, she's supposed to be the new Pokegirl in the group, and yet she doesn't do much, and being cold for some unknown reasons is why she is like this. 4. The characters should go on a journey in the Galar Region, just like every season Ash and his traveling complain when they are in a new region, so far they traveled to different regions in only one episode. 5. The episode needs improvement, some of the episodes are just bland and lousy like in episode 41, lots of people are saying that the worst episode in Pokemon Journey.

maybe if they befreinded some of the pokemon they got and used out of the prize machine and coincidentally got to use them again on multiple occasions. either way the prize master machine ain't a problem for me because having them use different pokemon that use different moves everytime and being an imposing threat is better then using the same 2 pokemon and having them spam 1 specific move everytime and pikachu canceling out all of the moves before they can even hit him and 1 shot them with thunderbolt everytime because that makes them look weak and the opposite of threatening and skilled and aside from that their pokemon had barely any personality sure they had some nice moments every once in awhile but almost all they ever did was spam the same move and fail to hit pikachu and be 1 shooted by thunderbolt and used for bad comedy all of the time for example victrebell or carnivine chewing on James's head ain't funny it's kind of disturbing and weird at least for me.i think it's better this way and more interesting.

Honestly, I've never really cared for Team Rockits Pokemon. I don't hate them and they are useful, but after a while, their bits get pretty old and it just gets annoying. Like, James at one point suddenly had a Victreebel, and every time he used it, it would try and eat him. It was funny, but the bit gets old quick and when it left, nobody cared heck James barelley cared. I prefer the lottery machine because it reflects well on Team Rockit stealing Pokemon and getting them powered up and I'd rather see Jessie and James using different Pokemon than the same Pokemon over and over again, and every now and again Ash having a problem betting them.

Oh wow I didn't realize the fans hated the vending machine. While I loved the sun and moon team rocket, especially James and marinie, I kinda liked the vending machine because it gave some other pokemon some screen time that normally wouldn't. I understand its flaws with special bonds with pokemon, but idk I never really seemed to mind. I do think that they should catch their own at some point tho

@@-birb-3223 If you're able to keep up with the series, you can watch the episodes as people release them on youtube. You have to watch them quickly though because they don't stay on KZbin that long. Where I live, people will release the new episodes Sunday morning. By the end of the day, they will have subbed the episode and released that to KZbin. If you're desperate to watch the new episode, then you can watch it as it comes out. Or, if you just want to watch it in subs, then you will need to wait a while after the first release to watch that.
