@@nesbo7578 Yes that's what you are suppossed to do in your role of being a parent. That's the job God gave you, to take care of your young children, but your children won't be minors forever. Eventually, they will grow up and they will be responsible for their own actions. So, let's say that after all the hard work you did to prevent your children any harm while they were kids, they grow up and start making bad decions and end up in jail. How will you save them from their bad choices? Would you let them learn their lesson or will you try to get them out of jail regardless of their wrong doings? Let's say they murder someone, or raped someone would you still try to prevent them from sufferring even if they deserve it? So, how are you better than God? First Fact: Adam and Eve were adults not children. They had total understanding of God's rules and the consequences of being desobedient. So, God's job as our spiritual Father isn't to erased our bad choices and the bad consequences that comes with them, NEITHER to turn a blind eye and overlook OUR spoil behavior, Neither to make useless human beings that cannot take responsability for their actions. So, being an overprotecting parent doesn't make you better than God. In fact, is imposible because while you could be the parent of 1,2 even 10 or more children, God is the Father not only of the whole humanity but also of all spiritual beings. Your job as an earthling parent doesn't come any close to God's. The thing is that all the pain, the suffering, the insecurity etc... are the consequences of our own bad choices. I don't think God knows every single aspect of the future because the future does not exists. God makes things happen in the future when it comes to his will and if it relates to his plans. I strongly beleive that even if he wanted to know if Adan and Eve would have sin he couldn't know because it wasen't up to him to decide. He knew it was a posibility but it was not set on stone, meaning is was up to Adam and Eve to prove their loyalty or betrayel, whatever happened next would have depend on their decision as the consecuences of their actions. God hoped and trusted them to take the right decisions but they choose not to be obedient. How is that predestination?

@@schnellster1 hello, you have an intetesting way of interpreting the bible but, First you need to understand the whole story. First of all Jehovah knew the Pharoh's heart better than the Pharoh himself, in other words he knew the Pharo's ambitions, desires etc... God can read our hearts(feelings, desires, etc...) He knew that just by sending his prophet to challenge the Faroh's authority and demand to free the israelites it was going to make the Pharoh furious. So, how did God harden the Pharoh's Heart? By making him act stubborn and defiant or by demanding and ordering him to free his people? Basically, God challenged the Pharo's authority and how do you think the Pharoh would have reacted if his heart was pure and humble instead of arrogant, defiant and tyrant? So, when the bible says that God hardened the Pharo's heart, what do you think is refering to? Maybe you are confusing the concept of predestination with cause and effect. God did not predestined the Pharo to be bad, He was bad already by his own choice and because He was bad, when God demanded him to free his people this caused the Pharo to harden his heart even more. Because nobody dared to challenge him before. The Pharo was considered a God by his people, the maximun authority, "So Who was this unknown God to even think he could boss the Pharo and demand anything", so he thought. But God showed Pharaoh which of the two had more authority and more power. God showed without a doubt that the Pharaoh was no match compared to Him. And it was so obvious that he had no choice but to set his people free. In addition, God gave Pharaoh many opportunities to remove the plagues and set his people free, and Pharaoh rejected them. If God had hardened Pharaoh's heart in the way you interpret it, it makes no sense that he would have given him so many opportunities to reconsider knowing that he himself had conditioned him not to change his mind.

Thanks for trying..but doesn't make sense. The Bible you have now is a refined version. God made man in his image ....it's the whole package I guess. What you see humans to be like today (after they ate from the tree of knowledge)

@@schnellster1 I don't know what you mean by the bible being refined. If you mean that something the bible says is taken off or added other than the original text you know that this has a very bad consecuence for whoever dares to do so. And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll. Revelation 22:19 So, this is a very serious topic for whoever dares to desobey in this particular issue. Refining words and making them more understandable in the language is being translated without it losing its original meaning is O.k because the original message does not change however, changing the message is completly prohibited and it comes with consecuences. Everyone that reads the bible knows this, so is just a matter of wanting to die without a chance at resurrection or not. ( to be completly cut out forever from the tree of life) this is a serious matter. And yes, God made us to his image and the first two humans were perfect just like God inteded all of us to be. Perfect in every way. But God told Adam and Eve NOT TO EAT FROM THE FORBIDEN FRUIT. and he further explained what would happen if they desobeyed: DEATH. it was up to Adam and Eve to be obedient or not. It was their decision not God's. God did not forced them to do anything. So how is God's fault that they desobeyed? Wasen't He clear enough? You might say: Well why did God forbid them to eat from the fruit in the first place? Did he set them up? Well, wasen't God their creator? Didn't He had the right to apply his rules and conditions to the people he created? If you let me live at your house wouldn't you expect me to respect and abide by your rules? By God setting his rules was he setting the up to sin? Obviously not, He advised them not to eat it from it and he told them about the consecuences of desobeying. If he was setting them up to sin he wouldn't have tell them anything. If his goal was for them to sin he wouldn't have been so clear about it. So, look at us now after desobeying God. Is it God's fault for stablishing order and discipline or is it Adam's for being desobedient? Try to learn the real facts first before you get to conclusions that don't add up with the truth.

Not so bad from a God that's always being wrongly accussed of predestinating bad things to happen to us is it? Predestination goes against God's will and the freedom of choosing our own desicions called Free will. If God would have predestined our future with good or bad outcomes then free will would be a lie, however every one here does whatever they want and that includes not wanting to beleive in God himself. How stupid must you think God is to predestine someone to not beleive in him, To predestine someone or even a large group of humans for whom his son gave his own life to wrongly accuse him of ruining their lives for allowing bad things to happen? I mean seriously does that make any sense to you? What logical reason would you think God has to do something so stupid? Do you think Jesus would come here as a human to die a horrible death in order to save us from sin and death for nothing? He died for any human, no matter their race, social or economical status, country, sin etc... @unacubanaenlayuma2 жыл бұрын
The thing is that is very easy to blame God for everything bad that happens just because he has the power to stop it, but have you thought about whether we deserved to be saved? No, ofcourse not, it is not convenient to think about that because we all think we deserved to be saved by none other than the God we so harshly criticize and because nobody wants the blame of their own actions, so is more convenient to blame it on God. If God is Almighty and Loving why He allows bad things to happen? Good question with a very long answer. But to make it as simple as posible is because we turned our backs on him. From Adam to Modern times humanity has despised God over and over again and we are paying the consecuences. However, God does not make bad things happen to Us because he is mad at us for being desobedient and treating him like garbage, in fact He is not responsible for anything bad that happens to us. However, He has given humanity time to prove wheather we can live without him or weather we need him. Satan said we don't need God in our lives and that people can govern their own lives and others as well. That's why God said O.K I will give humans the oportunity to prove it. That's why without God's guidance humanity is on the brink of extinction. So, eventhough God is giving us time to live without his intervention doesn't mean he is responsible for the way we choose to live without him. It does not mean we will live without God commands and guidance for much longer He will intervine soon and bring order and fix what we broke but it is very clear that we cannot govern ourselves without God. When humans had God as the main source of wisdom and rightiousness we were perfect, had eternal life and were truly happy unfortunally Satan came along and put all that at risk making humans sin against God. Unfortunally we didn't get to live under God's managment so we don't know what is like to be blessed by God. All we know is the opposite under Satan's managment, a total caos. So, when we blame God for our suffering we are blaming the wrong person here. Remember when I asked weather we deserve to be saved? Well God thinks we do and that's why He send his son to help us. So, God has already set up the means for our salvation and again it comes down to our choice. Do we acept God's salvation or do we want to keep blaming him for something he didn't do?

All of my questions that preceded me waking up were due to the teachings on pre destination and free will. I came to the conclusion that if God is the only being capable of knowing the future, weather he chooses to or not, and then judges you for your failings that only he could prevent, he is not only a tyrant, but also is actively responsible for every human to die who has died or will die in his apocalypse, since creations beginning.

Is sad how you think you woke up and yet you never understood the very basics of bible teachings. It saddens me to see how people say they were Jw's and yet it seems as if they never truly grasp the knowledge. I don't know what you have woken up from and if you want to fool yourselve that way and it makes you happy then I am by all means very happy for you, because everyone has the God given right to take their own decisions no matter what those desicions might be. Don't blame God for the consequences of your bad decisions. You took them, your responsabilities not God's. How is it predestination in every single one of Us and yet he encorages us to take our desicions based on his teachings? If we were predestined by him to do good or bad then encoraging all people to take good desicions would be unnecessary. Why does God has so much interest in bad people repenting from their wrong path in life? You are saying God made them take those bad desicions so is his fault not the person, so why would God expect them to change? And better yet, why would Jesus die for every single sinner on Earth if He knew that some of them were destined to be bad anyways, that some of them couldn't change even if they wanted to because they were already predestined to be bad? Don't you see that God's actions don't match with predestination? They only thing we cannot escape is death, All thanks to your one and only dear Adam. And even this problem has been dealt with by none other than the God you are accussing of being a tyrant. I don't think you know what tyrant means but if God is a tyrant after everything he has done for us, then he is the only tyrant that I love. The only tyrant I would be willing to die for and the only tyrant that would bring me back to life.

@@unacubanaenlayuma You're correct, if predestination was a thing, then its entirely illogical to go with the whole ransom sacrifice plan to save a small section of humanity from Gods rage. Yet the society teaches (and to be fair I think this has reasonable biblical backing), that God is capable of knowing everything that a person will do from their inception, in-fact from far before that. being omniscient. If that's the case, the logical conclusion is that predestination is a thing (because if one being can know the future, then the future is set). If that being having knowledge of the future, happens to be all powerful (which God is, in this supposition), then that being, becomes in reality the one solely responsible for the resolution of all events. If that being then decides to end the lives (murder), anyone who is bound by this foresight, if they don't act the way that being wants, while that being is perfectly capable of engineering any events to avoid such death. Then that all knowing all mighty being, is not only responsible for those deaths, but immoral for not preventing them. I agree that the above makes no sense for a loving creator, therefore: EITHER God is a tyrant, who is arbitrarily planning on exterminating the vast majority of his creation, because he is throwing a tantrum that they aren't doing what he wants (while he could have known from any point in history that this was the outcome and used his omniscience and omnipotence to prevent it, and is therefore responsible for it). OR The JW theology is flawed and makes no sense.

@@jameswilson3809 with all due respect you are very confused about knowing something and being resposible for it. They are two different things. But when it comes to God Almighty and all Powerful and All knowing this attributes do not make him responsible for what each one of us do. Why not? Because he gave us free will and the hability to change whatever outcome the future might bring in relation to our own life. You cannot change somebody elses future and no one can change yours but yourself. What is the future may I ask? Something that doesn't exist or has not happen yet. The posibilities of future random events are endless and unset. The only thing God can do about the future is make it, same as us with the difference that whatever he plans to do he obtains no matter what. Us, not so much because our plans depend on many other factors that scape our control, like chance or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. So, when God tells us something is going to happen is because he is 100% sure about it either because he will make it happen like (Armaggedon) or because he can read humans hearts and minds, therefore he can anticipate to know a certain behavior if he so desires depending if he needs to know it or if it is important for the fulfillment of his will. Before Cain, (Adam's son) killed his brother Jehovah advice him not to harbor hate in his heart against his brother. Does this mean Jehovah knew Cain was going to kill his brother? No, but he knows that hate and jeallousy can make humans do very bad actions against each other. But God did not judge Cain for commiting murder before it actually happened because to be judged you have to do something wrong. So, even though Jehovah can intrepret your intencions, he doesn't judge you before you commit the sin. He trys to advice you, to make you understand to tell you what is good and what is bad but he cannot take your decisions for you. The only thing humans can be 100% sure about is that God will always do what he says without a doubt. The things that keep us from achieving our desires don't have effect on Jehovah. And everything he does does is just and right.

@@jameswilson3809 Your initial claim about the ramsom cancels predestination. Because it is a fact that Jesus did came to Earth and he did died. So his sacrifice for humanity to save us from sin and death means that God believes in the goodness of humanity and he hopes that everyone would benefit from this amazing oportunity that Jesus bought us with his blood. If predestination was the way God created humanity then Adam and Eve would not have sin, because it would have been easier for God to create us without the ability of desobeying him in the first place. Then we would not have been humans we would have been organic robots. A robot cannot do anything that it isn't programmed (predestined ) to do. However, God gave us the choice to choose for our selves whether we want to serve him and obey him or not. You were misinformed because God does not want to arbitrarely kill anyone of his beloved creation. If he didn't love us he wouldn't have created us in the first place. He didn't spend billions of years creating wonderdul and extraordinary life forms and beautiful places and things just to through a tantrum and destroy it all. He is not an imperfect human,we are. We are the ones that through tantrums at him for not doing things our way. In fact when Adam and Eve desobeyd him and sinned, He could have destroyd them in a flash without hesitacion, in fact he was justified to through his first tantrum right there. Because He was mocked, challenged and disappointed all at the same time by the very people he created and loved. The very thing he told them not to do and there they went and did it anyways. Yet, he showed mercy to the Adam and Eve's descendents that were not even born yet, Including us. If he was a tyrant, like you are accusing him, He would have erased everything and everyone and start all over. But he didn't instead he provided the solution one that obviously you don't like and don't even appreciate, but it is the right one in this particular situacion. Because without it our only future would have been Death. So, What do you think is better... having absolute confidence that God will fix this messed up world, bring real peace, destroy death, ilnesses and threads, allows us to live indefinetly in the planet that he created for us as a home, etc... or is better to just die? Because you do know that without God's mercy and benevolence we would not have a future at all. Without the ransom our only destiny would have been death. Now That would have really suck! And yet you are calling God a tyrant? If you would have paid attention in the meetings at the kingdom hall maybe you wouldn't have been calling God a tyrant. And you wouldn't have been here blaming God for predestining you to stop being a JW. The more you repeat it the more absurd it gets. Predestination doctrine in Christian or really any religion has always confused me. My old minister got _so_ tired of me asking why Satan even bothered rebelling if he already knew that god (who was ALSO Satan or Lucifer's creator) would win? Why did he even bother with Adam and Eve if he knew that someday God would win the bet? Why was Jesus even necessary? Why didn't god just let Adam and Eve live out their lives in disgrace and after they died (since they did not eat from the tree of life) and just start over with Earth Paradise 2.0? And oh, on the 2nd version God might have remembered to make Eve 2.0 at the same time as Adam 2.0 instead of that whole crazy charade of making male and female animals but somehow missing that the creature he made in his own image didn't have someone to procreate with. Not that I believe Adam and Eve is anything more than any other creation story told by any other civilization since the dawn of people trying to explain the world around them and to find meaning in it. It rings as true to me as the Ancient Greek creation story with Gaea and Uranus or the Norse version about Ymir. Just mythology.

When I was in the org I would often become frustrated by hardships and injustices. I knew that if I had the power, I would never allow people to go through heartbreaks and illnesses and lives of futility. I would ask myself: Could I be more righteous than God? Are my standards above His? Of course saying yes to that seems insane, so I would dismiss it as a possibility. Unfortunately, my indoctrination kept me from going any further with that for a long time. It's really disturbing to realize how my critical thinking skills were sabotaged by the cult.

I love how they explain God’s ability, as if they know how his perception works. If “God” is real, then the men (in power) in New York, trying to explain the outworkings of God’s ability, would be like an Insect trying to explain the outworkings of man. Another thing, I thought the “Governing Body”, (ugh, just saying that word makes me sick), themselves said “...they are neither inspired nor infallible”, so if that is the case, where are they getting this suppose knowledge of how God uses his power, and how he does not look into the future all the time? And the comparison to having super strength and not lifting everything that is heavy, is utter nonsense. Picking up a spoon, or your car keys isn’t heavy, but to an insect it would be, yet we are picking those things up all the time. Strength, vision, hearing, etc... are all relative. So that is a dumb argument.

Who hardened Pharos heart, so he refused Israelites to leave Egypt? ...'Jehova'.... Let's say one gets abused and all knowing God or unknowing god may have know it and not done nothing or could it be that like in pharaoh's case he also hardened the heart of the abuser and put in the feelings of lust so that person who may be a son or daughter of God may be abused? Imagine all the people who are abused by the clergy.. .who is the culprit here? Or is it that this clergy knows that there is no God and therefore no ramifications???

I have always said, that God knew far far ahead of time what choice the first human couple would make, regarding eating from the tree. He knew when he first told them not to eat from it. To not even touch it. God already knew what they were going to do. Yes, they had free will, but God already knew what their choice would be. In fact he knew from the first creative day what they would do.

So if I only watch the end of Lord of the rings(and haven't seen it before), it means that the outcomes in the movie are not given? Just because I don't know them. So I can see that the ring is destroyed, but I don't know yet all of the characters that will survive therefore the outcome is not already determined? Even though it was already given as the movie was made? It's funny because they want to have it both ways. God can know everything including the future, but at the same time the future is not determined. It's just two mutually exclusive realities. If the future is not determined, there is nothing to see into. It doesn't exist until it happens. If however the future is determined, then god is responsible for everything ever.
@unacubanaenlayuma2 жыл бұрын
God does not know the future the way we think. To begin with, future is an abstract concept that defines the posibilities of events that have not happen yet. What God can do is to determine what, how and when certain event will happen by his will. He can definetly make things happen in the future, like the birth of somebody, certain events like Armaggedon, etc... this does not mean He has a remote control like in the movie Click of Adam Sandler, where he can just press foward and know the future. Anything God predicts is diretcly related to his will, He makes it happen. It seams to us as if he is seeing the future but in reality he is just letting us know his future plans. This is not predestination, God is not responsible for every single thing that happens but whatever plans he has he delivers. Like for example people dying in accidents, wars, natural disasters at random places and times have nothing to do with God's will. This are random events that happen by chance. Being in the wrong place at the wrong time, the bible calls it unexpected events. For example, God does not predetermine the way every single human will live or die However, He did predetermined the way Jesus was going to be born and die because it was directly related to his will, Jesus death has a purpose, many aspects of Jesus life was predetermined by God like who were going to be his parents, the time in history into which he was going to be born, the way he was going to be killed etc... this aspects were not left to chance because they needed to happen in a specific way. However, when it comes to Jesus life and decisions it was up to Jesus himself to choose not God. That's why Satan was so intetested in tempting him, so that he would sin against God. If every single aspect of Jesus life was predetermined by God then Satan had no chance to get what he wanted, So he would have not even waste time trying. Because something that is predetermined is unchangeable, so no matter how hard you try it will still happen the way it was set to happen. So, if Jesus would have wanted to change his mind and not die God couldn't have done nothing about it. But God and his son were so determined and so intuned that they trusted each other beyond our imagination, That's why God announced everything about Jesus coming to earth way before it actually happened becaused it was all planned. So, God predetermines something when He needs it to happen in a specific way but he doesn't predetermine our free will.

The biggest problem with their theology is, in the kingdom of Watchtower, "Jehovah"is king. In the Kingdom of God, Christ is King. Always has been, always will be. The Father tells us. "Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion." Ps.2:6 Watchtower theology says Christ began His reign in 1914. Bible says: "The LORD sat enthroned at the Flood, And the LORD sits as King forever." Ps.29:10 Watchtower says Christ will reign for a thousand years. How long will Christ be King? "The LORD is King forever and ever." Ps.10:16 Their theology is flawed from the start.
@justrachel44962 жыл бұрын
I was raised Christian and these are some of the weirdest explanations I've ever seen. I was taught that God could see the future simply because he existed outside of time, and that God didn't prevent all bad events either to respect free will, or because he could see that preventing it would cause something worse to happen later on down the line. The idea of an omnipotent deity having selective vision makes no sense to me.

The authority God gives the two witnessesof rev 11:6 is quite something..not accounted for in thr thinking of many. With that task of striking the earth with plagues assigned the GB..it now starts to make sense. Closely allied to that destructive task given them..the title THE MAN OF LAWLESSNESS likely carried out by this same group..as insignificant as they seem..being referred to as ' the MAN of lawlessness' . As to Gods ability to FOREKNOW..I've given it some thought.. We re told he PREPARED the earth for man. In so doing, he knew of the likelihood that among the free willed ones he created, any might decide to try the alternative view..a rebellion could ensue. By placing the tree of the knowledge of good and bad in the garden of Eden..it made clear any of the intelligent beings he created could choose to make their challenge to His rule. In fact..look where we have the earth's resources ..Russia with all the mineral oils gas..Africa too..Afghanistan with the elements for rechargeable batteries essential for progressing with the existential crisis global warming exacerbates. Did Jah plant those under the earth as storage particularly for THIS time ? Could well be. Ezek 38,s prophecy regarding Gigs final attack on Gods people and his reaction of USING the nations to punish him with a sword being called for against him. (Ezek 38:20-22) Putin had no intent against them..no desire to ban them ..having PERSONALLY given an award to a witness family 5 years ago..for their child rearing . See KZbin video As an Orphan we can imagine how sensitive he was to the breaking up of families he observed was taking place as it was BROUGHT TO HIS ATTENTION.. Rev 16:13&14 shows this was one DISGUSTING THING that went out to him. Did ex witnesses avert his gaze to take notice of their policy of SHUNNING ? POSSIBLY. Indeed he was MADE to turn 180 degrees..as if hooks were placed in his jaws !! Hooks..but BAITED. Not something the 'borg' would choose to hi light..it would nt settle the sheep but likely would create panic ..it is news that s scary....that disfellowshipped ones end up being bait.. No comment has been entered explaining in their publications index for those verses..interestingly.. A gap..purposefully left out.. suspicious Or..are they faithful and DISCREET ! This is like the playbook a Manager for football or basketball teams use..detailing strategies for set play..known by the players.. The playesr know each one of a number of set plays so they can implemented at a moments notice..each playing the part required to achieve result of scoring a goal/ touch down or basket etc.. Viewid in that way.. Those are INSTRUCTIONS THESE THINGS MUST TAKE PLACE are instructions

hey, your topic is very interesting, very good work; the tj are a bunch of contradictions, that is why most of those who are inside develop all kinds of disorders on a psychological level; A teaching that was too difficult for me to reconcile was always the "perfection" of Jesus, have you asked yourself that and have you investigated it in depth? it would be very interesting to expose it.

Making a simple observation, I notice that two different concepts are confused: 1.- Predestination: (The divine predestination of everything that is to happen, especially with regard to the salvation of some and not of others. It has been particularly associated to the teachings of Saint Augustine of Hippo and Calvin) (as a doctrine in Christian theology) that refers more to a specific destiny, that some people have to live, regardless of their will or personal decisions without having options. 2.- Prophecies: (an inspired declaration of a prophet. 2: the function or calling of a prophet specifically: the inspired declaration of the divine will and purpose. 3: a prediction of something to come) refers to the events for be described before they occur, which can help us make the right decisions from which we could obtain benefits or, on the contrary, negligence in ignoring them could bring us difficulties. I am also pleased to inform you that the Jehovah's Witnesses, as a research society, welcomes any logical input, has publicly stated that it is not a docmatic organization, recognizes that the understanding of truth is progressive (Proverbs 4:18; References: 2 Samuel 23:3, 4; Ps 119:105; 1 Corinthians 13:12; 2 Corinthians 4:6; 2Pedro 1:19) Knowing that only God has the absolute truth of things to come (Matthew 24:36) that for humans is something very relative, always depending on their spiritual and intellectual capacity and on the sources at the time of acquiring knowledge. What we do know is not wise is to get involved in propaganda against someone we don't know well, perhaps some of the things you're referring to already have new information about them. Getting the information firsthand is the wisest thing to do, contact the Watchtower Society if you have any questions so you avoid having to speculate. Perhaps it would be very beneficial for you personally and for some of the people who see and listen to you. Although we understand that the truth will not become the possession of all, there are always conditions or requirements to receive the holy spirit, the engine to understand the truth about the will of God. My best wishes in your search for the truth, without a doubt humility and modesty can go a long way. Blessings

IMO its not a matter of looking into the future, its the idea that the future can not been known if its not preordained. If everything is in flux how could you know when there are an infinite amount of possibilities that can go in an infinite amount of directions? Unless god if god even exists actually makes timings happen to be a self fulling prophecy.

Hi there! The camera is honestly a pretty cheap HD webcam I got off of Amazon. I don’t even remember what brand, but it was in the $30-$50 price range. The more important thing is having a microphone and sound mixer. Again, nothing expensive, but if you get those things you’ll be ahead of folks who just use their built-in webcam or phone microphone. The iPhone camera is pretty good though! Probably a higher quality than the webcam I use haha.

If there is a Jehovah, then he's probably like a kid with an ant farm. He has given people, animals, and vegetation everything you need to survive, but he has no involvement. He just lets life go on as is. So praying to God for help would be completely useless.
