I have my own theory centered around Foxy that I would love to do on my channel. However, the channel appears to be going in a different direction as far as what we'll be doing over here and I fear that it might never get made. FNAF is one of my favorite fandoms and I'd truly love to put my two cense into the discussion before the DLC comes out. By then, my theory might be proven wrong or might be considered irrelevant. I like SB but I'll never love it because of the poor decisions when in development but Aside from the bug's and lore it's, it's an average game and and if ppl didn't rush and pressure and got delayed on more time the game would be fully fleshed out and Sony forced them to release it early even though Steel Wool should have been had their shit together so in case something like this happens

I really enjoyed how honest and fair this video felt. As much as I enjoy seeing the gameplay for SB, I cannot deny it, the foundation of Security Breach's gameplay being a confusing walking simulator pretending to be a horror stealth game is just straight up sad. I really hope that Steel Wool uses this opportunity to rethink the gameplay of FNaF and apply those lessons on the Ruin DLC. Awesome video.

ive never understood people saying the SB animatronics are "not scary because they look like plastic" remember people saying fnaf2 wasnt scary because the animatronics were plastic? remember people saying fnaf SL wasnt scary because the animatronics were plastic? remember people saying fnaf PS wasnt scary because the animatronics were plastic? no? thats cuz it didnt happen people seem to just dislike the designs of the new animatronics (which is reasonable, these ones arent the best looking), but then try to just say "oh i dislike them because them being plastic makes them not scary" when people have never reacted like that in the past

I think when I said plastic I meant too "clean". Those other animatronics had something else wrong with them or acted in ways that were scary. Like FNAF 2, chica losing the beak is great, the fact that Fred and Bon just stand there twitching is great, etc. The issue I have with the SB animatronics is until they're shattered they're just there. And we barely get to see them afterwards

I think the biggest problem is that it gives no compelling reason to play the game. I mean missing kids are mentioned once by Gregory right before one of the endings and it seemed to surprise everybody. If the only objective is to get Gregory out at 6am then can't he just chill with Freddy? There just seems to be no motivation for anything

The most i got scared in this game was not even intentional, A LOT of the time when going through an open door that needed an upgrade, for some reason, acted as it needed to be opened again when it clearly already was, so when doing stuff for the true ending going around the pizzaplex, i would just run to a door and get scared by the unexpected claw animation that made it look like something was attacking me from behind, or the chica scream It gave me out of body experiences and its not intentional, AND its our suposed buddy freddy who is scaring me Damn

i am fine with this game now that everything has been cleared up but my biggest issue is the storytelling and wasted potential. there was so much they could've down to expand the fnaf universe with this game but it did nothing but bring us right back to the end of fnaf 6 what a let down.

One thing that I think could have helped this game is if they structured it closer to the LEGO series games. WAIT KEEP READING!!! By being free roam, there's no ramping fear. Imagine if there was a level system, with new areas opening as you complete the story, a relatively safe central hub, and each area only needing to load when you go through the level's door? With this one change, the game is allowed to be more difficult as time goes on, we solve the problem with the whole world loading at once, solved the save problem (you just restart at the start of the level if you fail), allow for ramping difficulty, and create a much more natural style of progression (the door unlocks and turns green when you gain access to it, and the indicator would be visible from the map. The UI Map would need an overhaul, but idk). (I get really in-depth below on how the story would change, you've been warned) The Lobby is our starting hub, once we clear the start level (which is unchanged). From here, we access level 1, the Daycare. Present here are Sun, Moon, and Chica. Get to the daycare control room and unlock the elevators, gain level 1 pass. Encounter Vanny on the way out, like usual. Moves us to main hub, the Main Stage. Every door is locked except the level 1 pass opened level 2, El Chips, home to Roxy! Get a level 2 pass, return to the Hub. Level 2 pass opens Levels 3.1 and 3.2, Monty Golf and Fazer Blast. Get the Level 3 pass by either going to the Monty Golf office after shooting a golf ball into each golf hole (priming us for the boss fight with Monty), or the Fazer Blast office after completing round 1 of laser tag (no Chica yet) You end up with either the Faz Cam, or the silver FazBlaster (less charge than main) in hub, and now you have options. The VIP Lounge opens, you can go back to do the other level or, if you beat the first Fazer Blast, go back and a challenge mode with Chica will award you the gold Fazer Blaster! Level 4, the VIP Lounge, has Roxy and Monty present. Get the Level 4 pass, survive their assault on the office, and eventually Freddy saves you but gets attacked, sending you both through the glass dome into the Lobby. Freddy is hurt and needs replacement parts. Freddy tells you to hide, and Moon takes Freddy to Parts and Services from the Lobby. Take the Elevator back to the Hub, where all the lights are out, and Monty is swinging his spotlight around. Freddy (via the Fazwatch) tells you that you need to start a show disc to reset the lights, one should be backstage. Sneak your way around the spotlight to the backstage entrance, where you have the Endo Hallway. Get the disc, sneak back up (where Roxy and Chica are on the other two floors, only visible by their glowing eyes) and play the disc. Each of the animatronics is now stuck dancing in place to the performance programming, and you can take the stage elevator down to Parts and Services. Recover Freddy and return to Hub to see that the animatronics are gone, and the Level 4 pass opens up Mazercise, and the Kitchen Elevators. This allows you to either take out Chica or Monty (The Monty Mix is inside El Chips). Both end with a Vanny Encounter. Collect the parts, upgrade Freddy, and use either one to open a section off of P&S that leads to a Vanessa Encounter where she chases you through a maze of tunnels, but she can open shortcuts because she has higher clearance pass. When she catches you (b/c the door out into the hub is too high a level), you end up in her office, tied up. Escape, grab the Level 5 pass from her office, and see that Level 5 pass opens Bonnie Bowl, and all vents. Level 6, Bonnie Bowl, contains all 3 animatronics, and a broken Staffbot in the basement area. Grab his head! Also get a good look at Roxy Raceway out the window. Take a vent from Bonnie Bowl into Roxy's Raceway, where you nab the Level 6 pass (which opens Roxy Raceway's main door). After keeping Roxy out of the office again (similar to FnaF 1 with Foxy on 20 mode), you cut a deal with Roxy through the door. If you beat her in a race, she'll help you out, but if she wins, she gets to say she caught you and bring you to Vanessa. She leaves, and you discover that the driver assist bot has a broken head. Thankfully, you got a functional head earlier, but it needs to be reprogrammed. Freddy says hardware is P&S, but software is handled in the Fazcade. You reach the Fazcade by going through a Level 6 door in the Daycare area. Inside is DJ Musicman and all 3 animatronics in a dark area. The only light is the arcade machines, the eyes of the animatronics, and DJMM's glow stick armbands. You find the door to Software Services, and deposit the head, only for Moon to come in and prowl for you while the software is changing. Avoid Moon until the software updates, grab the head, go back to Roxy's. At Roxy's Raceway, you race each other. Last lap, it's neck and neck, until the Drive-Bot glitches purple, and swerves into Roxy's cart, sending you both flying. Roxy loses her eyes, and chases you, claiming you cheated. Goes the same as current. You can now upgrade Freddy with the eyes and go out one of 4 ways. 1) VIP: There's a Level 6 door in the opening area that leads to the Backstage challenge, which gives you a Level 7 pass. Level 7 lets you into a challenge in the Kitchen Basement, which gives you a Level 8 pass. The only level 8 door was in the VIP Lounge, which would be the Burn it Down ending. 2) Disassemble: Extreme Challenge Fazerblast, with Chica, Roxy, and Monty attacking. If you survive, There's a vent in the Reward room that leads to Vanny's office. She disassembles Freddy, you disassemble her, it's like the ending we know. 3)Arcade: In Fazcade, El Chips, Bonnie Bowl, and Parts & Services, there are 4 Arcade Cabinets; Princess Quest 1-3 and BB flight. Beat all 4 and do the Disassemble ending. All the Staff-Bots are collapsed during Fazerblast, and Vanessa is found unconscious in Vanny's office. End with Ice Cream. 4) Afton: The raceway crash revealed the elevator shaft down to Afton. Proceed as is.

Heavy agree keeping a more focused, level by level approach could've helped. I mean, that's exactly what Help Wanted did and I think Steel Wool did it well. Shorter, but more focused experiences where we can appreciate the little details and spectacle, and those elements stay special by not overstaying their welcome. I guess a sort of Mario Galaxy vs Odyssey design philosophy? Short, but quality and memorable levels are great. And so are large, distinct worlds, but you have to be dedicated to an idea or theme for a much larger stretch of game play (and keep the player engaged with it).

I just wish you could move around burntraps area and in each room you set fire instead of just sitting in the office and waiting for burntrap to hack freddy, maybe there would be some breathing near one of the doors like in fnaf 4, and you could close the door and afton would stop the door from completely closing but it would give you time to escape him and maybe he would also be able to crawl through vents and he could've had a horrifying robotic zombified voice and maybe for his jumpscare he could've opened up his mask to reveal his burnt skull like in the fnaf 3 rare screens

That'd be so sick! There was honestly so much potential for this boss fight so for it to just be this slow button press really robs us of what could've been. (Side note, in my opinion the best Afton jumpscare is the Springtrap jumpscare from Special Delivery, the mobile game. Honestly that app has some of the best jumpscares in the franchise)

honestly, i loved security breach. i dont know why, but i barely found any glitches in the game, let alone a single softlock on my first playthrough, and the rest of my playthroughs was me attempting astral spiffs challenges so of course i used exploits and glitches and got softlocked but i was using intentionally glitches so that was of course going to happen. i genuinely used stealth a lot and that is the main thing why i loved the game. i thought that for sure, if any animatronic saw me, i was bound to death, so to avoid being caught i used the cameras and learned the animatronics cycle to know when is the best time to move, even when i had the fazerblaster and fazcam, and i barely had to use them. because it didnt take me long to learn the anymatronics cycle, a lot of the time i didnt take long to beat different parts of the game, and even when i didnt complete a certain area, i already knew what to do and didnt waste much time. it wasnt until i saw other peoples playthroughs of the game when i realized stealth isnt neccessary, but definitely it is still a lot more fun. it wasnt scary, but it was a lot of fun for me and did have some scary areas, like the daycare.

I didn’t actually finish Security Breach. I got past the daycare section, and it just got to confusing. I watched a playthrough instead. Even then, the gameplay was a mess. Over half of the videos were just running from one area to another, grabbing a small item hiding in a corner or something, and then running back, only to be killed at the very end because you stepped to far to the left. It doesn’t look fun. However, I still like the game. The set designs are amazing. The characters are fun. Hell, even the game breaking bugs and infuriating gameplay got entertaining at times. It’s not a good game. Not by a long shot. By I would be lying if I said I don’t like it.

I know this may sound random but I have a theory…….When we are introduced to Sun, he is shown to be energetic but then I noticed one thing that set red flags inside my head…..if you don’t move for sometime Sun would say something like “Are ya having fun yet!” Or “Keep the lights…On….On….ON! This is where the theory comes in. What if it’s not Sun or the GlamRocks at all….(You may wonder: What do you mean that’s not the real Sun and GlamRocks) Simple……Sun runs the daycare, he is the daycare assistant so he’s supposed to care for the children not Ban them…..The Moon eyes also were shown to be red when first introduced which is one of the reason why I think the Moon animatronic we see is a fake and not the real one. If it was controlled by Vanny it’s eyes would be purple. What if Vanny is using their voices to make Gregory feel unsafe. When facing Monty, his eyes are shown to be red.

Interesting idea. A bit out there, but then again this is FNAF we're talking about. Still, while it's possible there are evil duplicates, there's no way for any of these animatronics to be 'fake'. Just trust me on that. However, it's possible that there's more than one Sun/Moon robot and that the one we encounter at the daycare in the game isn't the one seen during the Pizzaplex's daytime hours. Unfortunately, there are hints found throughout the game that suggest that this may not be the case. For example, one clue hints that a child that was at the daycare had a terrifying encounter with Moon, making him afraid of the dark and even caused him to have nightmares so bad that he wet the bed, something that never happened prior to their experience with the attendant. I think it's much more likely that the Moon personality had been corrupted at some point and Sun is terrified of the lights turning off because he knows what the evil Moon is capable of.

One thing that keeps getting missed is the lore at the start of the game. All the lore any FNAF theorist needs to know for almost certain Freddy's not possessed by Michael, Henry, or the ghosts of any other characters from the past is right there. The problem is it's presented in a way where it's hard to see it during normal gameplay, and it's technical enough that you need to understand enough about computers to make sense of it. I can, but I don't have an audience to get my explanation out to the FNAF community, and it seems those that do have enough of an audience still don't understand that huge cache of lore that the game depends on. I'd be happy to go on a channel interview style and explain it from a computer expert's perspective, but I can't seem to get anyone's attention. My voice just ends up being another grain in the heap that gets drowned out by everyone else.

I don't intend to be judgemental or preachy but the way you build an audience is by producing interesting content(such as your theory) and putting out there to be seen. Not complaining that no one will amplify your voice. No one will pull your bootstraps but you and I, personally, think you could be successful in a variety of situations but you have to put the effort forth. You say no one will hear you if you try but you don't know that 100%. What will guarantee that you will be ignored is by not trying.

I recently played this game for the first time ever. Nov 2022, 11 months after release, with the latest patch. The map never marks my objectives and I am just magically suppose to know where to go. I got so frustrated I just started looking up walkthroughs. In short time I had to look up more and more walkthroughs cause every single objective is vague and the map has no labels or names of areas on it. I would have thought this big problem would have been patched a long time ago but the game still leaves players having to wander around aimlessly until they accidentally find an objective or resort to looking up walkthroughs.

I also think the scary parts of the game are supposed to take place as it goes on. As the animatronics get dingier, vanny comes out, you destroy the bots and the S.T.A.F.F get reskinned into horror. I think the scariest comes from that and the continuing unuse of Freddy. You can use him less and less and get scared to use him for his trait of killing you when he runs out of power throughout the end sections. It's supposed to be a beautiful mall, that gets scary over time. Roxy with no eyes and chicas static voice freaks me out perosnally. (Nothing here goes against your criticism of the game btw, just..adding thoughts. This game could've been so good fr.)

For some reason, when I was at the top floor of the Daycare Theater to see if there were more bags, or gift boxes, while Freddy was on the bottom floor of the theater, where I was once there to get a bag, or a gift box, or both, I tried to call Freddy, because there were Security Bots, ready to catch someone, summoning Glamrock animatronics to jumpscare someone, Freddy wouldn’t come, and get me, to climb, and hide inside of him from the robotic enemies, why? Is this a glitch, or not? If so, Steel Wool should be specific about all of the game’s mechanics, especially the Glamrock animatronics, and also the S.T.A.F.F. Bots’ mechanics. But one question to make sure that the game is now less stressful when I get a chance to try to get one of the harder endings by staying in the Mega PizzaPlex. Since Security Breach was updated a few times, or something, and if I want to stay in the PizzaPlex to try to get one of the other endings, instead of getting the easy, leave ending option, can I even now be able to save only one time, by going up on an elevator to go to the next floor, where the stage is that the four Glamrock animatronics perform shows, and then I go to a different, but available save spot?

I think the anti-save parts were meant to be easier. The teleportation, glitches unexplained rules made it hard. The monty and chica sections aren't hard, and Monty is almost useless after he dies post-save. Chica mostly stays in the west-cade, and Noone comes after you most of the time when you're stopped by the bots. It was supposed to be manageable, and wasn't due to incompetence and release pressure. It could've been good and it upsets me that almost all the deaths for good players in that section are caused by unfair AI

Yeah I enjoyed this game but still had to give it a negative review on Steam. Why? Because no way could I recommend it to any of my friends. The flashlight didn't even work when I started playing, so didn't play it for months waiting for patches, and even then, didn't really enjoy this game until I watched walkthroughs. Because as you said, this game absolutely sucks at giving directions and they couldn't even label the damn map. But truthfully in all honesty, my only real regret is that I bought it full price. Never doing that again lol.

Not sure if it was a bug or done on purpose but what one large thing I happen to notice is that if you choose Fazerblast and you do Vanny ending later on…..Monty is nowhere to be seen in the Vanny Boss Battle.

When he said the Monty Army had been removed, I shat myself. Had Steel Wool really removed our lord and saviour Giga Monty? I was terrified, so I booted up the game and loaded the save. I ran up and down the stairs, and checked the Faz Cams. And every Giga Monty was there. I had been lied too, Giga Monty was still in the game.

@@RyeToast Yep, Giga Monty is still in the game. A reload of a save or just clicking retry after death will despawn all Giga Monties. You have to respawn every Giga Monty every time During development, Steel Wool revoved the spotlight needed to activate him. However, they didn't remove his AI. If you unload the Atrium, Spotlight Monty falls to the ground, which has pathing. He activate at the flick of a STAFF Bots hand. But he hasn't been removed.

This is a game I have mixed emotions on. I love the feel of the Pizzaplex, and of course most of the voice acting was pretty good (Not you, Gregory, you had fine acting and poor writing). I do have to remind myself that the game is fundamentally not great, and I think it’s because they adopted a bigger scope than they had the manpower to accomplish. So the game ended up being a giant series of fetch quests and all the cool stuff got buried to be finished later (which I doubt will happen). For crying out loud, the only time you really get a different mission is when you get to either play Fazer Blast or Monty Golf. Not a great design and I suspect they would have done better with another few years to cook. Another thing, I think game devs should stop giving themselves release deadlines until like 80% of the work is done. That way they won’t release unfinished, buggy junk. On the other hand, I have been loving the lore of this game and all the theories that have come out of it. Especially lately with the new Mimic story and the introduction of Agony. Overall, it could have been an absolutely stellar game. But they needed to have better management. Or more people. But probably just better management. Someone to hold back their ambitions to a level they could reasonably expect to accomplish with the time they’d given themselves.

Yeah...I am usually pretty jumpy when it comes to watching FNAF games but security breach? Barely even got a flinch out of me. For me, it's the environment that really ruins the fear factor. The Pizzaplex is a cool environment sure, but it didn't feel like they did much to spook it up really. It's just an abandoned mall basically, which can definitely be creepy but not if it's used properly. Not to mention due to the size it misses out on that trapped feeling previous FNAF titles have (and also means animatronics don't seem that great at navigating around it or have to be spawned in to get you, which is so immersion-breaking). I agree the daycare is one of the best areas that really shows off the underutilized potential. I think it says a lot about the game when you have people like Callmekevin playing it because it's ironically funny.

I agree with the no direction it really frustrated me Its ok when I know where to go but when I don't its really annoying I like the different endings though

I make my own fun, laugh at some of the funnier bugs. Things like that. On its own I don't think it's a very fun game to play, but you can have fun playing it

I mean the biggest issue apart from bugs is the story part and dead ends for lore. I kept digging through this game and feel like there’s no more information to go on. It didn’t add anything. It feels like a broken tech demo

I tend to run too fast in games pretty much the whole time im playing and I would get stuck running into rooms before they loaded even after the last update

The reason I think Security Breach is primarily bad is because it's just not up to standards to the rest of the series, on it's own it's not a bad game but because it's a FNAF game it's pretty bad compared to the rest of the franchise.
