Mostly I wanted to see how a couple of landlubbers would adapt to life at sea, but to be perfectly honest there was a small part of me that was curious about the carnage that might be around the corner. Good grief those where high winds and waves . wow! Years ago when sailing with 8 friends and a hired captain. We where sailing the BVI , 42 ft mono hull , rental , twin main masts , great boat . The storm waves troughs where 25 ft deep . We lost site of the horizon on every down dip . Every port there where not enough mooring points for everyone . The following year hundreds of thousands where raised to add several hundred island mooring points . People laid out every inch of chain in 3 directions to make it through the events. Of course the best 2 days , day one pure glass , the exit day pure glass on the ocean. Sailing is its own mystery to be experienced and appreciated in real time. Thanks for sharing your family journey . Yes boat maintenance is always missing columns and tasks on the excel sheet :) keep up the good work .

Hi Nikki and Jason. I love your videos and adventures. If it was a romance adventure novel it would be my favourite ever. Your video's are the most beautiful and poetic example, of what to me, looks like the most beautiful life possible on earth. I've watched 90% of all your sailing videos from day one when you were boat shopping. I think you are both amazing people. As I watch I think it would be good if I could be your steady crew mate. I love animals and the ocean. I love you both and your sweet kitties. I have a 6 pound long haired toy Chihuahua I love and adore who goes everywhere with me. I owned a 30 foot niagra my dog and I lived on. We sailed the local waters where I am for a summer season. I have been on boats in the water since I was a kid. I see myself being a good fit as your permanent crew in that I could stay and watch the boat when you venture away for a while, I could stay with Nikki if you need to run errands. Or I can run the errands so you can stay with Nikki. I have 14 plus years experience as an event Videographer. I'm creative, spontaneous and dedicated to any thing I choose to participate in. My hopes at sea with the 4 of you would be that I can play a roll in our overall well being and safety, help create videos, and be supportive in all areas. If the universe helps me find my Nikki on our travels I would surely feel like all dreams have come true in my life. Eating some of Nikki's cooking could be pretty close to heaven. Wish you both safe wonderful adventures and continued successes in all you do. Thank you for sharing your blessed lives with me in the videos you create. They have been a wonderful source of inspiration for my life and what is possible for dreams dreaming dreams come true. Wish you 4 a wonderful holiday season, christmas and New years. Much love. Blue PS. some of the clips I saw in this video made it one of my favourite ever. So glad you got through the storm so well.

8:30 Sprayed the cable...did you spray the base of ( beneath )the pulley...and in between the 2 pulley's ? Really blast it then give it an hr then again, then again. Corrosion, dirt around the shaft beneath, or a seized bearing (s) If that doesn't free it ...reduce the wear/ friction on the cable with grease on the cable to a length as far as the cable is likely to travel in either direction (slide) over the pulley. Vaseline will work though it isn't heavy enough for long periods of movement. You will need to monitor/grease it until you can repair the pulley but more frequently than only when you 'hear' the 'moaning'. You may have if so ....never mind :-) Safe sailing.........

That was a fantastic video. I loved the calm quiet sailing with no narration. Well done. I like to see the details on the wind speed and speed of the boat. Thank you for sharing. (Never disappointed)
