I don't believe in acting beta or alpha. I believe in being yourself. Now after that. There are definitely some dudes that are better at being genuine and others that are not. Which in turn leads to this alpha and beta category. Some guys try incredible too hard at impressing a girl. Be it money or constant compliments or gifts. Which 99% of girls detest after a short period.

I for one always embrace being by myself as well as accept myself despite me not liking some aspects like being really skinny cuz metabolism. He becomes so relaxed around her he just starts acting organic, and that is what draws her to him. As Jake The Dog once said, “You’re getting hung up on imaginary problems. The vast majority of people don't love each other in any meaningful sense. Most of the people you see who seem to love each other now will have nothing to do with each other in a few years (often, their time together will be shorter). There's likely nothing awful about you; most people go into relationships on a whim, trying to see how much they can squeeze out of the other, and try to strategically be the first one to discard the other. Most aren't looking at you to determine your quality as a person -- they don't even care about that. By all means, put yourself out there, but be patient and wait for someone who will look at you for your genuine qualities, and improve yourself in the meantime.

Don't get caught up so much in teen romances or super idealistic relationships. Go on dates, make friends, and find someone who really likes you for you. This is the first advice that feels real for teenagers. Man, I love this. I’ve been faking my personality for two years now to “network” with people, but in the process I lost who I am. I feel like a dead man simply living, I prayed to God to help me when I was on the floor in pain from temptation. I felt angered, sad, and frustrated. It felt like I was being punished for trying to do the right thing, yet the temptations grow worse and worse.. but then God showed me this channel. It has really helped me bro, you don’t know how many of us teenagers feel soulless every single day. Keep making videos man, I love you 💚💙💛

Actually, simp, as far as I've used it, refers to someone who spends a lot of their time, and money, running to the defense of random women. It's like a white knight taken to the extreme. For instance, many people consider guys who throw their money at Twtich Thots to be simps because the content usually isn't good. These guys are essentially just throwing their money at these women because they look beautiful. These guys will also, usually, break their backs trying to defend these women, no matter what they do. Beta is more of a term used to define someone who doesn't fit the typical archetype of masculinity. I'm fairly certain I would be considered a beta simply because I don't do relationships, but that doesn't make me a simp.

It's so weird that this video got recommended to me in a period of confusion for me since I coincidentally went on a date with a girl a few days ago (and I don't do this very often, in fact I haven't been on a date for two years since I broke up with my last ex) and it was amazing, we both had fun and even made out, but she just vanished from my life afterwards, stopped replying to my messages and became colder and colder. This video at least gave me some hope so I can learn to focus on myself while she doesn't come back (if she'll ever do that) and just go with the flow, but I'm still very worried I did something wrong and didn't even realize.
@matheuss8863 жыл бұрын
Update: She just apologized via text for the time taken and explained the situation to me. She said she's still longing for her ex and still cares a lot about him, and is not ready to move on with me for at least a while. She also told me not to create expectations in vain since it could go south. I really hope this means she could be open to something with me in the future, but I don't know what to do. I feel sad about the news but also very happy about her honesty, and thanked her for that, but I don't know what to do now.

@@matheuss886 Sounds like it's time you set a firm boundary. Don't date her till she says she's ready. Along the way she might choose to work through her past with you. @matheuss8863 жыл бұрын
@@Robloxman226 I completely agree with you. We have decided to stay in the "friends with benefits" zone for now but I'm not sure if that's the right decision because, as you said, she could use this as a pretext only to forget about her ex and not because the way she feels about me. At the same time it's the beginning of something so it's supposed to be fun, and more serious conversations such as this aren't very common to build something natural imo. We haven't been in contact for a couple days now but it's mainly because of her work (she's really busy with tons of responsibilities this month). I think I'll let go for a while. If she feels ready to contact me again, I'll let her do it this time. It's also very possible we go out again next month (albeit for mostly shallow stuff and not much of that "romantic" connection for now, but who knows she might develop something in the future) so I'll just stick with that possibility and go forward without thinking too much about it. It's the way I found to carry on calmly, without knowing what might happen in the future, but I'm also afraid of ending up being the "Plan B" as you mentioned.

When I was in high school I tried making moves on girls I liked but often turned out unsuccessful. I was disappointed sure, but I wasn’t too bothered because normally I’d often be hanging out with my friends and laughing our heads off together every day, and we were all single guys. We liked girls but dating wasn't much of a priority for any of us. The high school I went to was pretty small so prom date pickings were slim for me. For my Junior year I tried asking out a few girls, got rejected, and didn’t sweat not going. My Senior year I tried getting a date, failed multiple times, but decided to go anyway on my own for the sake of it. My Senior prom was one of the worst wastes of time and money I’ve ever spent in my life thus far. Everyone there was a pompous asshole and it was waaay too expensive for the prison-style cafeteria food they gave us for our dinners. A year later after I had graduated high school I went to college and surprisingly pickings were still slim for me. I couldn’t pick out any girls I wanted to go out with and the few that were attractive, had something about their character I didn’t want to date them. I met a girl in my first year of college who was mildly attractive but we were better off as friends. I didn’t worry about trying to be perfectly presentable for her, I was more laid back and I knew she wasn’t future wife material. I think she grew to like me as more-than-a-friend though because sometimes we’d walk together to our next class and she’d get real close to me. She’d smile and rest her head on my shoulder as we walked, and she’d rub up against me almost like a cat when a cat likes a person. She didn't normally wear that much makeup however one time she came to class wearing extra makeup and a blouse that was quite nice. I saw her smiling at me a few times which I didn't think much about at the time. I later complimented her on how she looked after class because she looked nice and that put a big grin on her face. Throughout college and my summers however I tried online dating for the first time. Online dating was the last place I wanted to look but given my options it was the only valid one I had. I’d look through who was available and get increasingly more pissed off about the types of girls I’d see on the market. It was like every girl I saw was a thot in search up a hookup, a gold digger, some disgusting weirdo, or simply someone I just wasn’t attracted too. I eventually reached that conclusion that you touched up on in your video as well. Instead of racking my brain trying to find somebody who wasn’t there, just forget dating for the time being. Don’t hold your breath, work on yourself until a day comes when you do meet someone. I figure by then I’ll be more desirable and put together for them. Currently I’m still single but from that point to now I’ve greatly improved at socializing with girls. It doesn’t have to be romantic, just learn how to socialize with the opposite sex better and figure out what personalities gel with your own. While girls do appreciate certain qualities in a guy, confidence I think being one of them, there isn't an exact copy & paste formula you need to follow to be successful in getting a girlfriend. Be yourself, improve who you already are where needed, and know who you match with when you meet them.

my issue with the words "simp" is it's treated like anytime a dude is even just * nice * to a girl, he's called a simp and bullied into treating women like shit. simp is a toxic word coined by toxic people. Simply being kind the the opposite sex shouldn't come with demeaning insults. It's called "respect" and I don't know why being kind or respectful is wrong.

Just wanted to say that "just be yourself' can be VERY bad advice if someone is either not neurotypical, not succeeding in life in the typical way or is a genuinely shitty person in some major capacity. "Just be yourself" really just means "choose one of these preset socially accepted archetypes and stick to the associated behavioural patterns". What if you naturally say really awakward and weird things because you can't read subtext or body language? Society is extremely restrictive when it comes to how you should move and talk and dress and groom, but many people don't realize this because they learn to adapt these behaviours intuitively.

Being yourself works really well when your defining traits are charismatic, funny, and confident. Bonus points if you care less about a potential relationship than the other party. But if you're one of the unfortunate people that don't share these traits, have no fear, because there's a lot of people out there. All you have to do is just take a few months off from your life to scour the world, looking for someone who mistakes your awkwardness for charm, who is culturally compatible, who is within your age range, who speaks your language, figure out who will move where, and who cares about you more than you do for them so that they don't get in the way of your self love. It should be easy, I mean after all, if you have a lifestyle where meeting those 7 billion people in the world is an option rather than just sticking to your town, finding people that want to be around you shouldn't be too hard. Man, giving relationship advice is easy when I only suggest what sounds pleasant and lack the ability to empathize.
