And it's likely also a reference to/inspired by the Bals des Victimes (or Victims' Balls (the dancing kind)) thrown and attended by close relatives of aristocrats who were guillotined during the French Revolution, where it is said some guests (women especially) wore red ribbon/thread chokers, among other morbid adornments like guillotine jewelry. The balls were only recently confirmed to have actually been a thing in the mid-late 1790s, though most of the morbid details like the red ribbon chokers and so on might still be later inventions/embellishments. Also, a detail I don't think you noticed: the crew guy holding the clap board has a tattoo that says "Armand told the truth". This is likely due to the Talamasca editing the shit out of the book (at least to remove any hint to their own existence, which might include the evidence they provided Daniel with), though to be fair, there totally would be diehard Armand apologists either way, so... He carries the scar of Louis' attack with him always. It's giving "I'm a petty little brat", but also maybe, "I remember why this happened and I remember what I did". The chartreuse coat reminded me a bit of Claudia's dress too.

The teaser trailer is to Lestat's story what the Dubai Interview is to Louis story. The vampire Lestat rock band is the modern day place where we find Lestat... but the book "The Vampire Lestat" (which is the fodder for Season 3) has a similar format to book One, in that. we are talking to a modern-day vampire but the meat of the story is very much in the past. I hope we will get some bit of rock star Lestat, but the brilliant part of book 2 is Lestat's backstory. As we know from season 1, Lestat was born into the mid/later 1700s and 'born to darkness' that same century. Book 2 is such a huge novel spanning centuries and continents -- it's a great ride and I hope they give it at least two seasons. It needs at least 2 seasons. It DESERVES at least two seasons. Fingers crossed! Thanks so much, guys! Can't wait to see your reactions to season 3! ❤❤❤ P.S. the song 'Long Face' is about Louis. Of course! Lestat is always writing songs for Louis. 😂

We can be sure Sam loved this, he's a huge Anne Rice affencionado and knows the lore better than everyone working on the series except Anne (RIP) and her son. The Vampire Lestat is not only his backstory but his journey to becoming a Rockstar. Season 3 will be unlike anything we've seen so far....mainly because Ms Rice reconned everything in her second book. 😊 HAPPY HOLIDAYS 🎄🎄

The vibe changes but the story itself is soooo depressing lestat doesn't get a single break in the second book😭 it's one traumatic incident to another and one of the reasons he started the rock band is to take all of the attention that's on Louis from the other vamps and put it on himself instead so Louis doesn't get hurt😭😭. We're gonna see so many new characters in this season it's gonna be great.

I always thought Louis downplays how physically attracted he is to him. 😋 - What did Lestat read of Paul's thoughts? - Based on what Louis described when turning Madeline, what did Lestat see when turning Louis and Claudia?

Ooooh, I hope a lot of people answer this one. Ever since we had the chance to see what Louis saw when he changed Madeline, I've wanted to see what Lestat saw when he changed Louis and Claudia. So that would be at the top of my list, too. I would love to see more of the early days of Louis and Lestat's relationship in general, just some of the softer moments to fill in some of the harder edges.

This was put together for comic-con (long before any writing or production started on season 3) so it is definitely just a little amuse bouche; I wonder whether we'll see this bit or even those costumes in season 3 at all! Someone else mentioned the tattoo, it's on the arm of the person who holds up the clapboard. The choker is definitely a visual reference to him having his throat slashed, because he is a petty b*tch who cannot let anything go. And Daniel is already a vampire at this point, so Lestat is choking him as away of expressing what he thinks about Louis' book 😂 This teaser definitely has more resonance for those of us who have read the books and have been waiting for Rockstat for a very long time!

Next season going to be time jump between past trauma Lestat and present bratty Lestat because Louis and him probably in situationship. It was confirmed by the Long Face songwriter, Daniel Hart that song is about Louis 😂

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but this was never meant to be The Claudia Show. Lestat is the main character of Anne Rices' Vampire Chronicles. Claudia was really just one mistake that Lestat made on a long list of mistakes. If your only interest in this show is Claudia, you may not be very interested going forward, although I'm sure she will be brought back in flashbacks and probably show up to haunt Lestat like Dreamstat haunted Louis in season two.

We’ve posted two full seasons of this show and have probably maintained the same “dry af” energy the entire time. My guess is a party was never going to be had, so expectations of you wanting to party with us probably haven’t ever existed. The next video will probably also be “dry af” and we can assume the one after that as well. We should consider renaming our channel Bird Calls of the Atacama Desert.
