I just really love that this book is dark, but not edgy, like it shows you the dark underbelly of the Marvel universe, but no one is suddenly being like "welp Tony stark is actually a sexual predator" or that "Wolverine is actually a pedophile" or something like that, it's a very grounded dark and not edgy dark

still havne't read Alias but I've heard about it before and when I saw today's back issues titled my mouth dropped and formed an O. I have to read this now! My reaction to hearing the story is the same as ben and ethan and knowing whats to come its weird, i have this apprehension to read it because it goes to a really dark internal place where you have to overcome or deal with trauma. As someone who has often made 'bad choices' it also seems like it could in many ways be one of the most realistic depictions of a person in comics. But I love your description of it as Jessica learning life lessons and turning them down

Unfortunately, I don't think so :( (although I would love for Kilgrave to apppear again) However, in the comics Kilgrave does have a healing ability so if they used that Kilgrave _could_ come back but I doubt it. In season two he might appear in flashbacks due to Jessica's PTSD

Something I love to do is watch Back Issues to hear about books I haven't read, then go buy them and read them. I just did this with Jessica Jones, and I want to thank you for introducing it to me. I loved it, and I loved rewatching this video with my own understanding of the story in mind. Any chance we will get The Pulse as an episode? To me the MAX imprint was always Marvel realizing they were 10 years too late on DC's VERTIGO line. With that being said both Alias and Punisher MAX (imo the best version of the Punisher) are awesome! I hope you guys do more VERTIGO stuff as well. To me those are some of the best comics written period. As for the rating thing, that always rubbed me the wrong way...it's like being treated like a child. I mean yeah Spiderman isn't going to get super dark but a Nick Fury solo series might (and has) but shouldn't that be obvious when you pick it up?

+Ethan Marsh I suppose so, but the main reason I brought this up was because I recently picked up the HC trades of the Miracleman reprints that Marvel have been putting out. And I own and have read the original trades and something REALLY pissed me off and it's the fact that they censored a certain word that's only used twice in specific contexts and I just thought it was disrespecting my intelligence. And on top of that they slapped the explicit sign on the front cover even though it's not that explicit until the birth issue and the final battle(which are in books 2 and 3). It would be pretty interesting if you guys did an episode specifically about censorship at some point addressing certain happenings like this.

Two things... First, MARVEL did indeed "waste" David Tennant at the end of JESSICA JONES. Second, in that WHAT IF featuring Jessica, because she made the choice to join, she prevented the "Avengers Disassembled" storyline; that means no "House of M" or "Decimation", just for starters.
