Love Birthday Massacre. The song Red Stars got me into them. Love the 90s synth sounds they use. Red Stars, Superstition, Looking Glass , Video Kid and In The Dark are some of my favourites

Ahhh, I did not expect them here but I'm sooo happy you checked them out! It's my all time favorite band. You already started out with one of the their best as well. Though I'm a little surprised you didn't watch the official video because it's super weird and creative. Even if it's quite old. I very much recommend watching it in your free time. They are active since 1999 and have a pretty big discography. They originally started out with the name "imagica" (inspired by the fantasy novel by clive barker) but due to some other band already having the same name, they changed it to the birthday massacre, which was the title of one of their first songs. Then that song was simply renamed to "Happy birthday" and they thought, their new name fit their style better anyway. This sort of contrast between light and dark, cute and evil, as their singer once said in an interview. They are also an incredible live band. They are all really fun and adorable people and very energetic on stage. Especially their rhythm guitarist "rainbow" and the singer "chibi" (I know, pretty funny names, lol) Their music isn't usually as heavy as this one but still beautiful. Their music usually has this dark wonderland vibe with the mixture of 80s dreamy synth pop and more of a 90s/00s grittier gothic industrial rock sound. I'd recommend some great classics like looking glass, in the dark and Lover's end but really anything by them would be great. I'm hoping for more in the future :) (sorry for this long ass post lol)

Great reaction guys. This is one of my favorite songs from them. They have a lot of good music. They've been around since the whole Goth Rock era started. I believe they're still around today. They were touring just a couple of years ago. You should check out some more of their songs for sure.

The problem with The Birthday Massacre is once you start listening it's hard to stop. The songs have such an etheral sound to them, almost otherworldly. It hits at all the pleasing frequencies in my brain.

Just saw them in San Francisco a few weeks ago. Freaking awesome concert! One of my all time favorite bands. They have a lot of catchy songs. Keep going down this path! You won't regret it!!!

This was the first song I heard from the band, kind of disappointed the singer doesn't really use the "metal" style of her voice that often in their other stuff. Still some good stuff from them otherwise.
