Interestingly, I've found that lots of the Pokémon weights line up with specific years. My best example is that Charizard weighs 199.5 lbs, 1995 being the original intended year of release

Unless youre playing the ultra games you wont be able to evolve magnaton into magnazone untill youre on your way to the league. If you havnt faced the totem alolan marrowak yet then id recommend catching a cubone and use the move theif, obtained via TM, to steal the thick club the totem alolan marrowak is holding. Pikachu and raichu are always a decent option in any region...except sinnoh and unova cause its too power crept there but this aint sinnoh or unova so it should be fine. If youre playing the ultra games you can scan a qr code to get the ash cap pikachu for extra novelty.
