@@steelers6mk I love them but no one every moved me like the Allmans on a night when they were all mostly straight. Especially in the early 90's. I will say that I saw the Crowes 7 times in the mid 90's and every show was an experience. Some were great - some were really good. But for truly jaw dropping jams I still have to give it to the Allmans. It's hard to beat two (well 3 really) great drummers even when you have Bonham's heir apparent on drums.

my favourite version of Ballad in Urgency. the whole performance is spot on. absolutely flawless... and BTW, it was broadcasted in first program in German television. I think it never saw such musical quality since then, just have to compare to the "musicians" they show nowadays :P

Always was a fan of Bring On... Great version this show. Not too long and the Ford/Rich combined, weaving snake like solo was amazing. Always reminded me of the Allmans, but that feel is all Crowes

So outstanding! I had seen them on Halloween @ the Beacon in NYC a couple weeks prior. They came out all dressed as Elvis. Billed as Jelly Donuts on the Marquee. What an amazing band they were. Thank God Rich & Marc have realigned in the Magpie Salute. The new material they have written & released is quite good.

What a good ole fashioned rock & roll band!! OUTSTANDING! OUT FUCKING STANDING!! At lockin fest!! with a few friends back few years ago, check lockin festival out. One of the best live days, if not the best i was ever at. Tedesci Trucks band crashes their party. Out with a few band members until next day back there at lockin fest. N some T. Trucks members too, until the next day, jammin all night they were. Good times, Good times!

If you check out Steve Gorman's book you'll see everything was heavily orchestrated by management and the primary focus of the Robinson Brothers was on getting paid. Every move and every concert was based on how much money they could make.

After reading Gorman's book, its amazing how good they sound here. By this point Ford was on heroin and Colt was drinking heavily. Eddie Harsch was in his own world. But when they got on stage it was like lightning.

Javy C yes. They grew in that time frame. When they first came around , remnants of glam rock were still around. The Crowes went on a monster of rock tour with heavy metal bands early in their career. They let the record companies influence them, I guess. Then they figured they could make it forging their own path, they way they want to, and the best American rock band was formed. (PS... I’m just assuming that how the events happened).
