I served in the 160th SOAR during Afghanistan and Iraq wars. We played this game on the laptop logbooks for the Little bird helicopters in our tiny bit of down time during the war. So ironic 😂

When I discovered Black Hawk Down was on Steam I ran through it again. Great nostalgia I'm surprised I still remembered all the missions as I was playing them. I had a lot of fun in multiplayer too. I liked how they did the borders of the map where there were essentially miles of nothingness and hills. You could take a long flank around the entire map and come up from behind.

Ive been playing the grindy POS game crossout for years, and I occasionally have nostalgic thoughts about games that were actually fun. Like the DF series I think I still have them all in a box somewhere DF1,DF2,DFLW,DFTFD(stand alone expansion), DFBHD, DFBHDTS(required BHD), JO:TR,JO:E(required TR), DFX. LW, and BHD was my favs. It would be nice to play a reworked BHD, but I doubt it will have a mission editor, and unlimited terrain which made the originals so desirable, and to boot they will probably make it grindy.

I like how at 1:40 you say the game series had a more realistic style as the footage shows some kind of sci-fi weapon. I thought the Black Hawk Down portion was just for the trailer... As a way to get us hyped for the new game. Like I am not looking forward to any of that 2035, sci-fi, hero shooter crap. It's going to be a hard pass on any of that multiplayer stuff. But if the campaign is going to be based on Gothic Serpent, I might be interested in that.

I played JOINT OPS for years some fun nights .. I was with 2RB clan played a lot on the US servers ..We played a lot off co-op maps.. we had are own servers

OMG, we rented a server and ran games 24x7 with all of the DF games starting with BHD and going through Joint Operations: Escalation. Squad tag 7.62. I still use the gamer name.

I hope they will add malaysian apc & some malaysian soldiers who are on duty as driver, right gunner and middle gunner in apc. And also, America has failed as many as 4 times in a rescue mission and was helped by Malaysia on the 5th mission at Bakara Market. The delta team did not succeed in the rescue mission, the US has changed the facts in history because they are ashamed to have been rescued by a small country like Malaysia.

If they released just the Black Hawk Down remake, I'd pay for it. But all the other stuff seems really bad, and just an excuse to push micro-transactions. Not sure how a Battlefield 2042 clone is going to be received, especially when it's free and the monetary gouging is more severe.

I grew up with delta force 1,2, land warrior, task force dagger and black hawk down with it’s expansion. Watching this trailer got me so hyped up and brought a tear in my eye, until the futuristic bs. Its a pass, I’ll stick to revisiting the old games. If i want multiplayer i can play cod and battlefield, delta force will always be a single player game for me.
