My black hunter recurve limbs are both the same shape. So there's know indicator of which is meant to be the top or bottom. There is a serial number on each limb. With a 7A precursor of the serial number on one limb and a 7B on the other. I strung it up when I first got it, with the 7A on top. Since my bow doesn't have a unique shape on the limbs or riser. Does it matter where the 7A or 7B goes? Or do I just need to make sure that I mount them the same way every time?

Definitely! I brought my 45# BH longbow all last season. Getting in and out of trees and walking through the woods is a certain amount of abuse on the bow and at the price point I didn’t mind at all.

@apocalyptik13 жыл бұрын
No but you can order limbs for them that are lower poundage
@AnthonyRinaudo703 жыл бұрын
No the limbs are going to pull the same weight no matter what the string. Lowering the brace height will make it pull a little easier and make it shoot quicker, but doesn’t change draw weight
@wataboutya93103 жыл бұрын
I have seen a lot of videos of these bows. They seem decent enough quality and shoot well also. I think the big question is, will the limbs retain their tensile strength over time and quantity of arrows shot. Most of the bows I have from the sixties have maintained there’s but I believe the quality of construction may have been higher in those days?
@jderamus3 жыл бұрын
Thats a great question! The BH longbow I have is two years old, I bought it from a friend who owned it for a year and I have owned for about a year. From the average that I shoot and that he shot, I would guess this bow has shot at least 3,000 arrows. Feels the same so far but I guess time will tell.

It’s not uncommon to have unbranded products sell for less and be the exact same as the branded product. It’s less expensive for a manufacturer to run 24/7 and produce unbranded/generic product during those off hours. The only change might be a slight difference in dye color to accommodate any patent. If there is one. If there is no patent, then there is no variation. I just got my bow, and other than the lack of branding, there appears to be no variation. Very happy with it, except for where it was made…but what isn’t made there anymore? Ugh.

@jderamus4 жыл бұрын
I’m 6’2” and have a 31” draw length. Ive shot it about 1,000 times. So far so good. Should just add up to heavier poundage, around 2-3 lbs per inches drawn past 28”
@ditzydoo43783 жыл бұрын
All bow manufactures list the "maximum" draw length for each model. 28-inches is the starting standard for most persons draw length. I typically draw to 31.5 inches with a recurve with a glove/tab, or about 30.5 with a string and mechanical release. The Black Hunter as shown on the Amazon web site has a total Bow length of 60 inches tip to tip, with a Draw length from 28 inches to a Maximum draw length of 30 inches. They list the typical Brace height at between 7.5 to 8 inches. So to answer, No this models draw length will be too short for your Archery needs.

Excellent for a beginner. Easy to set up and very affordable. I started with a 40 pound recurve and a 45 pound longbow version. Depending on your size/strength you may want to start lower than that but you can always buy more limbs and different weights. Enjoy the journey
