Kofi, This man is speaking so much wisdom. I have lived outside for over 10 yrs and can testify to it. I don't think we need autocratic leader. We need to put some systems in place that will not favor anyone regardless of the status, background and political party. When did Ghana hold any leader accountable for wrong doing? Accountability, transparency, integrity, passion and the love for the people plays a major role. I think MOST leaders in Ghana lack or REFUSE to exhibit and put into practice the above traits. I hope some day, I can serve my people too. Thanks

Leaders are not created they are born. The notion of creating leaders is a fallacy Kwame was never created. He emerged with. An inborn quality of a leader. Our problem has always been looking at things through the optics of the white man. We need more original thinkers.

"It's not in us Africans to think about the general good," As proud as I am, I was initially inclined to disagree with him. I thought: why are we so self-deprecating? But then, what's my defence when greed is sinking our nation? Am I not the same person who's been saying lately that this nation owes the Acheampongs and the Afrifas an apology, since they were shot and killed for nothing as compared to the level of self-seeking in our current dispensation, which everyone is getting away with? Oh lord, what a painful truth I'm struggling to swallow this evening.🤦🏾♂️

What this man is saying is nothing but the truth but you will get to know it well and understand well when you travel and especially find yourself among other Africans, you will understand him well and better . How we thinks ,the selfish in our DNA as africans , the hatred for one another , and also the most bitterly and painful jealousy Africans have for eachother. We racist among eachother ,and i think whitemen learnt that attitude (racism, bitter hatred, enmity) from us. May God have mercy on us and help us to achieve that goal of the best personal and emotional development. I enjoyed the interview

Leadership and Management are key stones we need as Africa as a whole. Let me touch on Leadership since the conversation is about leadership. As individuals we need to exhibit leadership at any level or dispensation in our lives. Leadership shouldn't be based on position at our work, organization or environment. Meaning, we should all be leaders without a title and with this we will be focused in developing our continent in our individual efforts.

It was implemented long ago by Dr, Nkrumah in a form of civil education but the current crop of leadership scrubbed it and exchanged it with some non beneficial lessons. Civil education should be reintroduced and use our district assembly infrastructure for practical lectures so leaders with clean records should be invited to impact their knowledge to the people of the grassroots.This can promote patriotism hence good leadership.

Mr. Amoateng, your idea of democracy for Africa sounds good on the surface. However, if a select few are to represent the majority, how can we be sure that they won’t become corrupt? I understand your reasoning, though, because even the USA didn’t start by giving everyone the right to vote. Lastly, your thoughts align with the initial critics of democracy, Socrates and his student Plato.

Democracy is the best system of governance but should be practice well. Dictatorship is very serious evil means of governance. Let keep our democracy growing and we will soon be there. Dictatorship always turns to be monarchy were foolish and undeserving characters get the undeserved chance to rule from the dictator's blood lineages.

The constitution should be changed to allow any Ghana born on the soil the part take in politics of the country regardless of their current citizenship status. A lot of these kind of minds are overseas but constitution doesn’t allow them in democracy of the country.
@codephisher2 ай бұрын
The constitution already allows that, we have rather made things difficult for the average Ghanaian. Leaders have to either come from political parties or be very rich

Kofi, I agree with this UT man but the solution is quite simple and the solution is the new generation need to go through military training for discipline after SSS and most be obligation for between 1 or 2 years discipline training in military So that is only solution to the new generation coming in Ghana and Africa
@BO4T3N92 ай бұрын
military training. will they?😅
@ernestadutwum93592 ай бұрын
Yes of course, military training will help our new generation to go through military for more discipline and the western countries are more disciplined because most of the countries make it compulsory for their children to serve in military for 1 or 2 years
