This might be the year where I've officially had it with specialist abilities masqueraded as perks. The getting seen through walls ability is something we constantly have to counter since its inception. If you constantly have to main whatever perk counters wallhacks, maybe wallhacks aren't good for the gameplay? Why must it take since BO3 for them to not realize this?

I'm really dreading the specialties. Im not a fan of railroading players into choosing one of three playstyles. I think cod ghosts and MW23 did it really well by making almost no perks mutually exclusive. that way, you're never locked out of one perk because you're used to having another

I love that now i have to choose between crutches in stead of me just doing the 'hmm lets see, ill get slight of hand, scanveger and doubletime... And ooh, i can run high alert as well, how stupid' Now im forced to pick between what could ve three powerful perk playstyles with their own set of exclusive perks bonuses which incentives me to have more dynamic loadouts with different perks instead of 'copy paste here and there' and i win. Its less brain dead, you will have to think now when it comes to what you want to run instead of choosing what could be the most broken/most powerful for you, you have to choose what you want to sacrifice to run your playstyle while also bennefiting from the bonuses you will inherit from running your play style. The key is choice and consequence=rewards and i like what treyarch is doing here with perks, the last time treyarch did anything different with perks was with bo2 and 3. They are rewarding you for making sacrifices and choices at a balanced level.

I’ll be playing this game, but will not spend a dime in game. I’m glad it’s on game pass so I won’t have to be mad that I wasted money.

It's so bizarre to me that they took away lethal/tactical resupply away from Scavenger and make a whole new perk just for that. Like imagine making it so you don't have to go get kills to resupply equipment and instead all you have to do is just sit somewhere and you'll just get them. Couple this with the ammo box field upgrade and it's no small wonder people have been complaining about campers more and more these past CODs

While I'm not a fan of the perk system in the fact that I can't run 2 green perks and a red to get a specialty I'm glad that the strategist specialty rewards objective play and helping the team as apposed to just playing Domination for kills.

I remember watching this type of video for the OG MW3. Writing it down in a notebook to bring it to school to talk to my friends about what we should be running at launch etc. Remember saying how OP that perk was where you would get +10 for every UAV assist. I never ran it once 😂😂😂. Hope kids are still doing that shit today.

I’ve always wondered why Treyarch has never had specialist if they had it in bo6 you could really be an action hero as they keep encouraging it

I can't see Treyarch ever producing anything other than a 6-7/10 from now until the end of time. Omni-movement is the closest they've gotten to doing something kinda big that's actually good in 6 years.

Will watch videos but not buying cod anymore was one of the best decisions made and just about every new cod further strengthens that choice

Yes, good riddance to total silent footsteps. It drew a massive neon sign around "THIS IS THE MOST META AND POWERFUL THING IN THE GAME". Especially since other perks/vests didn't ENTIRELY stop negatives; fore example TacMask didn't actually stop gas, and flashes/stuns still worked on the player, just slightly less, so it was rarely useful. If it stopped ALL tac weapons effects, it would be as powerful as Covert sneakers that stop ALL noise the player makes in a game where players run around at about 35mph. I look forward to how this perk system will change approaches. I am SO tired of META loadouts/and perks. I like that this approach means the sweats will have to choose between more gun attachments, more perks, or two main guns. That is a big choice to pick between. The All Blue perk bonuses seem a bit too strong... but, we'll see. I'd prefer it if the "enemies are here" thing was purely minimap based. Either way, I'm keen to play BO6, I'm a big Treyarch fan, and can't wait to get beyond MW3 - I don't think Sledgehammer did a bad game, I enjoyed their approach, and generally had a good time with it. But their gun balance, and approach to gun classes when combined with the auto-tac sprint jump/slide/sprints strafing didn't work at all with how they balanced whole classes of guns; LMGs and Shotguns in particular just... could not perform well with how MW3 was geared. BO6 guns felt much more... like their own classes of guns, and had noticeablely big changes to how they played. Keen to see how it goes. As long as it doesn't just become another SMG-fest...

While I feel this system is limiting, I’ll always prefer the BO2 pick 10 systems, I have to say if any of the perks got too powerful, or potentially an issue that could arise with it, is the vanguard problem where you can just put 10 attachments on your guns and have no consequence. It’s boring, and limitation breeds creativity, in most situations. While I’d prefer to give up a tac and lethal and get more attachments, or run a pistol with 6 perks and 3 attachments if I choose, it’ll take moving heaven and earth for them to revert back since they dropped that stuff many years ago.

I agree with the blue perk specialty, but i like the system otherwise. That recon perk NEEDS to go though...

The specialties on paper to me sounds cool but not explored. Like yea why is there only 3 total for each color dedication. I'd like it more if there were multiple specialties. Or how you brought up maybe 2/3 of a color for a different specialty. Or all 3 being different for a different specialty
