Yes! as a BW I date whoever I LIKE (black man, white man, or otherwise). I will love who loves me. Period. Too many BW limit themselves from finding love because they're waiting on a BM. Meanwhile, BM are dating and marrying whoever they want. The only issue I have is when one race fetishizes the other or puts down their own race because they've chosen to be in an interracial relationship. It highlights inner self-hate issues that need to be addressed. However, if I choose to date outside of my race, it's my business and it DOESN'T mean I don't love my people. Some of these comments are so childish and ridiculous.

I am highly disappointed in this clip. Claudia please start interviewing your guest before you let them on your show. How did a conversation about interracial dating turn into how big black men's penises are?? There are so many other things that needed to be discussed. Claudia you introduced some great topics but your panel did not further discuss in-depth what needed to be discussed. And the fact that y'all started to discuss the size of black men penises is problematic and a fetish in itself, like WTF 🙄 I'm so annoyed.

But Tyra was a beast and she didn't play. She tackled hard uncomfortable topics with the correct connotation. I seen that you were trying to gear the convo back on topic but your guest didn't help you with that. That's why I said, try to have a say in who's gonna be the guest and chit chat with them before the cameras start rolling. I think the issue with some black women is that we tend to be closed minded because of the pressure society puts on us to "protect" and " uplift" the black man. The one thing I absolutely hate hearing is "there are plenty of good black men out there" because I had only dated black men, until I met my fiancé. Granted, I am only 23 (going on 24 shortly), but I think it's very "toxic" (for lack of a better word) to bypass someone who is going out of their way to cherish you just because of their skin color. Black women are one of the most under appreciated demographics in the country (USA), even when considering black men, so why would I spend such a long time searching for something that so many beautiful black women before me haven't found? I was raised to understand that "it's not about the black or white man, but the RIGHT man". I will NEVER speak poorly of black men, as they tend to do when they date outside of our race *COUGH COUGH*, but I will acknowledge that I have never been appreciated, respected, loved, and cared for as much as I am right now. I'm in no way saying that it's solely because my fiancé is white, but I am saying that had I kept the closed mind that society expects...I may have missed out on one of the most special men I have ever met. Wow. That was so long! lmaoo Sorry!

Here I am, back to this discussion a year later. As a black woman who has dated multiple cultures, men are men. However, there’s a specific reason why I think black women focus on this particular issue. The issue with black women, is that we really love our black men. To the extent where marrying someone of another culture is pretty much taboo. And let’s not start on the fact that we tend to get shamed a lot more for not being with a brother than black men for being with white women or racially ambiguous black women who can pass for another ethnicity, in particular. For black men, it’s often been a status symbol or inherent self-hatred. Colorism and stereotypes at its finest. But, I think the reason a lot of black women are so critical even unto themselves about marrying or being with a white man in particular, is because of the sheer judgment we get in general from the black community. Almost as if we betrayed someone. In spite of the fact that black men have been doing it for years. We tend to be extremely loyal to the culture which already has a shortage of eligible men. But, I’m sorry. If the love of my life is a Japanese boy or a European man and he treats me like gold, I’m not letting the culture and the need to please the culture get in the way.
@robertcortez35266 ай бұрын

@14bricks WHEN YOU HEAR THE QUOTE "MOST BLACK MEN ARE MARRIED (NOT DATE) TO BLACK WOMEN," ITS A LIE! Many of those women are MIXED race or light skin Latinas that black men CALL black. Now the 2020 U.S. Census is coming and a lot of people that are mixed ( most a product of black men and non black women) will check the black box. Why? Because black men know that fewer black babies are being CONCEIVED between black male/black female unions, and this has lowered the 13-14% black population in America. So to make it seem like the black population is growing ( when it's really shrinking) they encourage their mixed race children (18 and older, white passing or not) along with their mixed race significant others that they are black and to check that black box on the U.S. Census questionnaire. No! The majority of black men who are married are not married to FULL-BLOODED BLACK WOMEN. Do not fall for the okay donkey black women.

This topic deserves a Part 2. There’s an explosion of mixing and mating happening and I believe it is largely due to the contributions of a social media influencer, business owner, and author of the book “Swirling.” Christalyn Karazin, Beyond Black & White is trailblazing through communities and cultures teaching BW how to expand their options despite an enormous amount of resistance from BM. I hope you will check out her videos, web page, and book and consider revisiting the topic of interracial relationships to expound on this growing shift.

The lady in the red dress was not "trying something new" if she still chose a thugged out Eminem kind of guy👎🏾. I could tell from the way she described him when they met that he was the type of WM that acted like a BM. She said she didn't even know he was white at first 🤷🏾♀️. So that means he was probably dressed in hip hop clothes, surrounded by BM, listening to rap music, in an urban nightclub, or speaking heavy slang that he picked up from his many blk male friends that he hangs around. And honestly this is probably what attracted her to him because she's used to dating BM only, so of course she would pick a WM that was as close to a BM that she could get. That was her initial reaction to him before she noticed his blue eyes and realized he was a WM, she was attracted to his BM mannerisms. I never date the G Eazy's and Eminems, they're just a different shade of BM. What's the point of "trying something new" as she said if you're deliberately picking the same thing? #ChooseBetter 👩🏾+👨🏼=🍦😍🍦

I never compared him to black guys though because to me that didn’t make sense since my father (God rest his soul) was my heart ♥️. He still is, he’s resting in peace now 🙁. I didn’t like the stares we got when we went out because he was the whitest of white guys and he was all over me. LOL Hand holding, staring into my eyes. I don’t know, I wasn’t used to guys being that affectionate. He didn’t notice the stares from others but I did. Anyway, it didn’t work out and so I ended up with the friend whom I told everything to who just so happens to be Haitian 🇭🇹. 20 years later, we are still making each other laugh. To each his own. Yes since June 1967. 52 years ago. I wasn't sure I heard them correctly. I should have rewound the video but I was busy. I have no clue where they got their erroneous information from.

T Martin I know that the woman is the prize and that the man chases her. I was just saying that the black man is a prize and should be treated as such and not everybody hates you is what Im referring to. I think the most beautiful man is the God fearing black man. If thats embarrassing to you, you are entitled to your opinion❤

Yet the very same black women who would reject your for being boring for not having a criminal record or too dark would shit bricks if you dated outside the race

Never go into dating and relationships with the mindset of wanting to be with a particular "race" tribes we can just about get as you want to uphold the traditions say for example #IgboCulture but other than that you should go into dating and relationships with knowing what your role and position is as a man or a woman and live out that role. The problem is so many don't know how roles and relationships actually work. So they move by trial and error and get hurt and then blame a particular "race" and then decide well let's date another "race" and then realize it's not them it's you whether you have good experiences or bad experiences...true or facts?

So interesting. I am Jewish and tried dating non-Jewish men. Our antennae are always on and we are hyper-aware of racism and anti-Semitism, which many white non-Jews are totally oblivious of. In the end, I moved to Israel and married an American, Jewish man. No more justifying or raising awareness. Now, let's solve see of the hatred!
