Would love if after shooting that it collects the all cameras shot to the controller device like Final Cut Camera does rather than having to pull the different camera files from each device.

What an amazing feature! I use the app to run HDMI to my ATEM min ISO and do all of the recording there, but this will make it easier to run multiple iPhones AND be able to actually see the shot.

Followed your instruction but on the iPad it says available cameras. No remote cameras available for control.

Very cool. I have an outdated iPad 5th Gen and an iPhone X so I'll stick with Movie Pro for any 3-camera (all iPhones) setup. I rarely do that these days. I may try it with my 15 Pro Max as my camera and the 11 Pro as the remote at some point.

I’d like to record my iPhone with BM app and my shure sm58. The shure mic goes through an audio interface and my Mac mini. Is there a way to record BM app and the mic in the same clip on the computer or separate in the computer ?😊

@jaymills1720 To my knowledge you can’t get video out USB-C unless you’re recording to an SSD. The way you get a video signal is to use HDMI, so you need a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Then you could play or capture that into your computer.

I’m using the same vintage iPad (and phone) that you are and I can’t get it to work. It doesn’t show an available camera 🤷‍♂️ I thought I read somewhere that it was for M1 and up iPads but it obviously works for you.

Yeah I was curious about that too. Mine is the top-of-the-line iPad Pro right before they went to the M1 chip. And so far so good, everything seems to work fine, although I bet the newer ones are more responsive and have less latency.

You can zoom, but not like a one button push zoom per se or continuous. You can use “key frames” or marks to customize and automate single shots though, but typically for focus pulls but you can do other things too.

Interestingly it’s been very good. I’ve had no issues at all reconnecting, which was kind of surprising.

Not to my knowledge. You can use the native camera app though and you can use FiLMiC Pro and potentially others but those are ones I have used.

I would like to use my phone on a gimbal and use the pad as a controller because the phone is higher up so i wonder is there a way to get rid of the latence?

Maybe on a future update it will get better, but for now it’s pretty much what it is and the further you are away the worse it is.

Whenever something like that happens typically a hard restart will fix it. Meaning shutting the iPad or phone completely off and then turning it back on. If that doesn’t, you might need to reinstall the app.

I don’t know the exact specs required, but I do know Blackmagic has limited compatibility on some older devices. But make sure you have the latest iOS installed.
