This video changed my life. Watching this in the early 90's compelled me to give up everything, drive cross country and ski Squaw Valley. Went there for several years. Changed my life for the better and turned me into a man.

Same here. I'm still in the Eastern Sierra 30 years later. Got two acres with a creek and still ski 100 days a year all thanks to this damn film.

This was groundbreaking. The production coupled with music from Propaganda was a match made in heaven. I remember as an English teenager skiing in the French Alps with Propaganda in my head and the images of Glen Plake skiing moguls. I was never that good but thanks to Plake I did learn to monoski which was really cool. Thank you guys!!

I still do that if I'm skiing on my own - airbuds in, Propoganda or Seal blaring.....

I'm American and when I was little kid in 1989 90, there would be videos of plake with his Mohawk playing on all the TVs at the ski lodges on the mountains here. I would just look in awe at the size of the jumps these guys were doing

@jamestyler3449 incredible!!! I thought I was the only dipwad still doing that. Propaganda. ACT, Seal, cpla more. Still have my mp3 player with Different sets: crusin' tunes, pure bumps etc.

Most of the tracks are not Propaganda, but singer Claudia Brücken singing with a band called ACT. You can find the tracks on the album Laughter Tears and Rage.

This was the beginning of the end of an era of skiing; before short, narrow waisted carving skis were in vogue. I was teaching at Vail at the time the Bilzzard of Ahhhs!! came out, and it was exactly what we all wanted to emulate. Those were the dazzzze.

So true ... Skiing in the Banff Area into the Kootenays cruzing on 207s doing bumps and always having a pair of 218 cm super g boards from the Canadian national Team for going big..Funny when these Stump Movies came out The Word Was Extreme.... We all joked..... we had been doing it for years...didn't seem extreme .. just skiing little speed skiing , downhills , .. remember gelande .. been in 4 Avalanches .....Now I only ski 20cm plus Powder Days ...What a life .. nobody can take millions of vertical ft of ski lines away from the memory .. We lived/ live in the real .. best to all.

What a movie! I must have rented it ten times from our local skate shop. Amazing how modern skis make this terrain so much easier to ski.

Born in Anchorage, AK 1978. Me and my friends didn’t just worship this film (watched over 100 times) we emulated this style of radical skiing in arguably the most extreme place on earth. In the 80s it was all neon ski coats, flashy bindings, long boards, long poles, hats with style and my god the memories of a sunny day after 36 inches of powder! I met my maker in those moments at Alyeska resort in Girdwood, AK. Out of bounds was the norm and the freedom of expression was yours for the taking. This movie literally changed my life! Much love my friends.

This movie changed everything and was the catalyst and original spark of everything X to come. This movie showcased snowboarding, and inline skating to millions for the first time. The X Games and freestyle skiing and the intro of Snowboarding into the Olympics all can give homage to what was created here and what it meant to the skiing/snowboarding extreme sports world back in the 80's and still to this day.
