There is epic tale of a Blood Pact Death Brigade sniper’s battle with Imperial Guard Master-Sniper Sgt. Hlaine “Mad” Larkin from the Tanith “First & Only” regiment during the brigades assassination mission in one of the books from the Gaunts Ghost Series by Dan Abnett (pretty sure its in Blood Pact). The only part of his body that wasn’t completely ritualistically scarred was his trigger finger, which he kept pressed against the palm of his hand to protect it & the only thing he would use it for was pulling the trigger of his sniper variant long las rifle when making a kill shot.

👍 yes. The blood pact are pretty cool, send them against the kreigy Bois. I also disagree that gore mages are outdated lore. While yes, khorne despises mages and magic in general, and he very well might despise the gore mages, they don't quite use psykic powers the way most psykers do. They specifically use their powers to summon a very specific type of daemon and bond them(for a few seconds) to a member of the army. As far as I'm aware, they don't throw fireballs or sling lightning like other psykers do. Khorne very well might... Tolerate these mages, because they allowed his armies to reap a higher toll of blood and skulls.
