I beleieve we thought Lou was a Toreador because in the first itereation of Bloodlines 2, they had a group called the Pioneers in Seattle. It was said they were predominantly Toreador and being led by Lou so I feel we all just kind of assumed lol.

Ventrue Lou is a positive change. Her as a toreador is basically a stereotype of the clan. Whereas her as a Ventrue makes a lot of sense. Brothels were a great cash flow back in her day, and it gave her control over a bunch of vessels to cater to select tastes.

Yeah, Lou was Toreador in the Harsuit version of Bloodlines 2.

I think we all thought that Lou was a Toreador based on her apperance and mannerisms. But I don't think her clan was every oficially stated till now. So yeah.

Lou could of easy been a Toreador in Hardsuit Labs version of Bloodlines 2. Remember The Chinese Room said they would change stuff. So her place & stating would be different This is like that One Woman we see in HSL Bloodlines 2 Video could of easy been move to the other Clans or Drop completely (Which is still in the Air).

There was concept art of the atrium club where cops approached front side. As a option we could decide to fight her because she has a dark side to her in terms of viewing humans as art. Maybe somewhat similar like the prosthetic serial killer in bloodlines.

Could be that the devs changed their minds on Lou, or deliberately describe her to be from the wrong clan, there's many kindred who act or try to keep their lineage hidden if it yields something useful to them, like leverage or hidden skills. ...I'm crossing my fingers that despite the terrible reception thus far, the project can yet be salvaged by the amount of time afforded to the studio. we'll see, won't we?

I thought Lou was a Toreador as well, as well as her surname was Grand and not Graham, if I remember that correctly. Now When I hear Lou Graham, 'I want to know what love is' gets playing in my head. I find myself hoping for Elif to make an appearance still though.

The underworld ist likely the literal underworld of those urban structures under the city highlighted in the first version.

Benny, the other sheriff, could be an antagonist or the rival. Or the other enforcer that always gets in your way, or even opposes some of your choices. Willem's, the secret keeper, role seems like a liability to the Camarilla, they probably put them their to create a source of conflict for the player.

Why is there a Brujah Primogen? Didn't the clan as a whole "leave" the Camarilla, along with the Gangrel? The Winter Teeth Comic also put a focus on "every Brujah still part of the Camarilla is an abnormality and no one in the organization trusts them". 🤨 Edit: ok, nvm, just a Sherriff. Which makes it identical to Winter Teeth 😂

You still have some courts with Brujah princes and primogen. Critas is still primogen in Chicago in V5. The Clan can have a massive stance on a particular Sect, but individual chracters can still be of any Sect. The Anarch book in V5 does give exanples of non-official Unbound Clans and how they change in their values and social structure in comparison with the Camarilla.

For corpses the Kindred in the WOD get more action in the romance department. You're dead and don't need to have romantic intimacy and it's called Necrophilia for a reason.

Isn't Phyre not a Sheriff, but an Archon? I'm personally interested in the other Primogen, the Banu Haqim and Brujah even having them is interesting but it seemed like only wrote up the ones with non Primogen court positions. I'm sure I could read individual clan articles but it would have been nice even to get them all duplicated here.

They reused a lot of the old models from the original attempt at the game. So its the same model for a different character. Looks like they recycled Alec Cross into JJ Campbell as well.

I'm not disappointed, but I'm also not wow'ed. This feels very much like another iteration of the same Camarilla court that's pretty much in everyone's first Camarilla game. Other than a few things thrown in to remind us that this is V5-based, there's little so far to differentiate the two games beyond the locations. I would love for there to be a video game where the Prince isn't from one of the clans usually in charge, especially if they were to go with a clan that doesn't have either Dominate or Presence.

Yeah, iirc LA was just a simple short pdf with a few loresheets and stats, so wouldn't be surprised if they did something similar for the Penny Arcade crew's characters

I wonder what makes this a "2" rather than just a Vampire game. Tone is especially important, is there any sign of the quirky humor, and sense of fun, in spite of the horror and machinations swirling around you, the first game had? A lot of the more modern stuff has been dry and plodding, as it easily can with the politics and vampire stuff.

I think I am like you in this regard. The Camirilla for ever since the Gangrel and lesser extent the Brujah leaving the sect became Social Vampire heavy and the Anarchs the opposite. Prior to the Gangrel leaving I felt the Camirilla was more balanced in their approach. I like the Ventrue dynamics and even the Toreador Primogen. The Herald Noserato is intriguing and the archivist not so much. I am indifferent to the Brujah Sheriff and Tremere researcher.

My god, this is full-on Camarilla discrimination against the Anarch, Sabbat, different sects, and other supernatural creatures. This game will not have freedom of choice but will be forced to order and obey through hierarchy without compromising Camarilla's inner circle. This game is going to be easy to pass because it'll be like Bloodlines 1 within a few hours.

Like you said wasn't Lou a Toreador at one point she could of Been but this isn't HSL Version of Bloodlines 2, It's The Chinese Room so Expect a lot of Changes. TCR: We will Change stuff around & even Names or Vampire Clans to tell our Story. So Lou is a Ventrue. This is why when People want to stop hoping to ever see the Two from HSL's Bloodlines 2 Video I go they could still be there but in Different Clans. It's best to Make a list of HSL Characters & Cut up the paper and just go well place this here & in this Clan, in this roll & go well what are you going to do Next TCR?

Eeesh...Looks like they also changed the name of Alec Cross. He's now JJ Campbell? Naw...I like Alec Cross better. Sounds more "Princely" and strong. "Never Cross the Prince!" 😄 I way thought Lou GRAND was definitely Toreador along with the Pioneers. I guess I won't hit on her now. I'm bummed out they don't have my clan of the rose in the game. But I think I'll roll with the Banu Haqim. The thought of a Banu Haqim Ancient Sheriff sounds pretty brutal & scary to me! 🤘🦇

Given that we have waited 20 years for this game whatever they release will be a disappointment, It's more or less an impossible task for the chinese room I would say. No matter what the game becomes I will be among the first in line to play it..... even saved vacation days so I can enjoy it to the fullest.

Ventrue being the most prominent clan present is pretty accurate for Seattle. It's filled with yuppies.
