Received my AC500 and B300S. However the AC500 ac switch is not turning unit on. Unable to get response from Bluetti. Customer service stinks.

Do the push button power buttons turn the unit on? You should be able to press either the battery button or the main unit button and have it power up.

I have a AC500 with 2x B300S batteries. I got the 2nd battery about a few weeks after the first battery and the AC500. Before the 2nd battery arrived, I had the units connected to two solar panels to charge it up during the day and run lights at night. After 1 week I noticed that the lights were not on and the battery was not discharged had about 70%. I've not heard arking on mine but I had errors that I can not clear. It thinks there is power going to it from the solar even though nothing is connected. I have called and can't get through, can't leave a voicemail, I emailed and I got a message asking for more info and I've heard nothing back since, I've messaged them twice for more info. Over 10 days and heard nothing. I feel like I've sunk a lot of money into Bluetti devices and I'm waiting for help from them too.

I know others have already mentioned this, but have you tried the cable arrangement shown on the Indiegogo site? Bottom battery to top battery, then to the AC500? It might be worth a try.
@priscillabelliveau823118 күн бұрын
I purchased the ac500 and came up with the same problem with the power cords, tuff to insert into the power ports, I noticed a difference in the power pins. The ac500 top three pins were not in alignment. I measured the pin positions an noted a 1/32 difference in the points of contact. This was with the original cables packaged with the B300k. Bluetti is currently out of stock on the proper power cords. Hopefully to be sent out after end of the year. You should check the positioning of the top three pins with a micrometer. Forcing the plug into the receptacle could eventually break the plug connection.

I just got my ac500 and b300s battery. Having the same problem. I got a 2nd battery today and tested it and the unit turned on and off normal. I even tested the old cable from the first battery I got. It worked fine. Its definitely the battery giving constant power causing bms errors. Will be contacting bluetti today. The joys of troubleshooting. 🙉🙈

Wait a minute so if you get a 3rd battery (b300s), where would you plug it into the AC500 ? There isn’t a 3rd port, is the wiring diagram wrong and you have them connected wrong … shouldn’t they be connected piggy backed to one another ?
@diyrenewableenergyelectron49962 жыл бұрын
The plug setup changes with the number of batteries you have. It’s very weird to me but I’m just following the owners manual. If you have 3 or more you piggyback them. Thanks for watching and commenting!

For general use where space isn’t an issue it doesn’t matter much, but I’ll bet they could have caused quite a buzz if they made 90 degree connectors that hugged the machine. You’re right, it could be a game changer for RV use and tight spaces. Good point! Thanks for watching!
@LarryRichelli2 жыл бұрын
The fact that Bluetti will not make 90 degree connectors is driving me crazy. I have to use one of my B300 batteries on it's end to make it fit. It is working fine this way but 90 degree cables would be wonderful

Suggestion. If you want to Demonstrate or test this anymore I suggest plugging into the AC 500 1st and then into the batteries so that if they are arcing it’s arcing on the battery not your AC 500 unit.

I turned off my AC control on screen, then turned off AC500. Overcast, no solar charging battery, batteries are dead. I plugged the AC cord into wall outlet and attached cord to AC500.. Problem: I cannot get the AC500 to turn on, so I can turn on the AC. This has not been an easy product to understand. I am not a very "techy" person, so having issues with Bluetti.

@diyrenewableenergyelectron49962 жыл бұрын
I agree. They have a very good reputation both in the quality of their products and their customer service. It could be that this one battery was a fluke, but being a new product it is expected that there could be issues but we will see how they handle it. Thanks for watching!

Hey what's up, one question have you try to switch cables? If it does the same then is the BMS battery, if it doesn't then it's the cable, that's why is so tight, give it a try.

@diyrenewableenergyelectron49962 жыл бұрын
Yes and we also tried switching cables to see if it was cable related. It isn’t. It does the same thing if the “bad” battery is the only battery connected as well. The problem is consistent and only related to the one battery. Very odd to me. Thanks for watching and commenting!

I thought the batteries daisy chained on those maybe that was the old one.
@diyrenewableenergyelectron49962 жыл бұрын
They do when you have more than 2 but for 2 you plug both directly into the AC500. The connections for adding batteries is confusing. It changes based on how many you have to plug in. I couldn’t figure out the logic behind why the connection setups change but I just follow the pictures 🤣
@offgridwanabe2 жыл бұрын
@@diyrenewableenergyelectron4996 So that would be the first thing I tried to see if daisy chaining on the top main connector would work. A friend has the same setup and his worked daisy chained.
@diyrenewableenergyelectron49962 жыл бұрын
He has an AC500 with the B300S’s? I’m going to take a multimeter to the plugs and see if there are any differences in the two batteries. The arcing is what makes me the most concerned since power is always on and it seems like it could damage components inside the AC500.
@mikeselectricstuff2 жыл бұрын
@@diyrenewableenergyelectron4996 The battery should definitely isolate the plug pins when off. Check with a meter. I don't think it matters which sockets are used as all the pins are connected in parallel. The AC500 has seperate charge/discharge circuitry for each port, but these look identical and most likely interchangeable

For all of you contemplating spending 4 or 5 thousand on a Bluetti…buyer be ware. I have an older EB 150 which is now four months out of warranty and won’t charge. Good luck getting service for an out of warranty Bluetti. Max Oak, the company that originally marketed Bluetti, told me if it’s out of warranty they have no interest in helping me.
