I’ve wanted blundstone & redbacks but I couldn’t wear them to the office. I found out RedWing makes a Chelsea I wanted after they were discontinued. I can find my size but only in all black which isn’t for me. Jim Green makes exactly what I want and I’ll be buying a pair soon!

Rossi boots are now being made overseas except select models. Staying true to their 110 year heritage, Rossi Boots continues to evolve, with a selection of the ‘Iconic Boots’ range still being crafted in their South Australian based factory.” Plus they don’t ship to US

Thanks for this video. Ive been wanting a pair of Chelsea boots for awhile because of the convenience of just pulling them on. What I didn’t like about them was the pointy toe and dressy styling. I wanted some rugged work style Chelsea boots. But red wings are $300 and everything else was made in china or just not my style. These have the style I was looking for and the construction looks great.

Thanks for making videos like this. I have been looking for months for chelseas that don't look too dainty or too chunky and have good grip. The Jim Green Fudge Crazy Horse almost hit the mark for me. They do look like a good value, though. Have you considered Thursday (Legend model) Mark Albert, or Grant Stone chelseas?
@CeeAreDee2 жыл бұрын

@@CeeAreDee I totally get it. Even in Canada, which is literally conjoined to the USA, it's hard to get them. Except for Thursday boots, it can take as much as $100CAD just for shipping and customs, even more if you have to return or exchange.

@@bernardocardoso1356 Thursday’s quality isn’t as good as you might thought on the internet( definitely not as durable as Jimgreen), the legend model’s “lug sole” is just lug style foam. to be fair any boot can be repairable, it's just a matter of whether you want to pay a premium for a cobbler to install a welt on a non-welted boot.

I would like to throw a danish brand into the mix! Have you looked at "Duckfeet"? They have a chelsea called "Roskilde". They also sell you a pair of soles, so you can replace your soles yourself at home once they have worn down (or get a cobbler to do it). Also, what's your reasoning behind not looking at getting a pair of RM Williams? They have the Gardener boots with the commando soles, that's a pretty rugged boot if you ask me.

What may be the difference between the 2: stockman vs. outback?
@tinytim11b2 жыл бұрын
Hey Nadine! So from what I've gathered there's 2 differences; the outsoles and the lasts. The Stockman has a lug sole and a narrower last
@nadinesmoske88312 жыл бұрын
@@tinytim11b thanks for your note; from my chat w JGr…on IG.. the last is same with Vallies which I have a pair. Thinking for a custom outback in black crazy horse leather. :-) no lasses!

I like the redbacks idea for housework. But they are so aggressive it takes away from what it could be. And this is where Jim Green is just right there in the middle. Also im confused why Blundstone didnt beat Jim Green to the punch with stitchdown/goodyear sewn on construction with a vribram outsole. And even do it right around their same price point and throw the gauntlet down for long lasting footwear. IF they did everyone will give them praise.
@CeeAreDee Жыл бұрын
Yeah the red backs are not my thing at all.
@robbyt.5258 Жыл бұрын
The biggest difference is that the Blundstone was made in a very inexpensive construction with a direct attached sole. The Jim Green shoe is made using the so-called stitch down process. This process is more elaborate and of higher quality and more durable.
