Just in case someone doesn’t know cross your safety chains from the trailer if it does come off the ball the chains will act like a cradle to hold the trailer from hitting the ground

Crossing your safety chains is the law in many places for this reason!

The crossed chain also helps maintain direction. An uncrossed chain will jerk left and right, and can cause Al lot of CHIT and just ruin your day

They needed a little help but not Two Faced help posting a video so you can laugh at them for making mistakes on their boat launch. Ignorant uneducated people will find this humorous but intelligent good hearted folks will see this video and see what kind of person whispers while he’s making a fool out of the same people he’s trying to show himself as a nice man to the rescue. They most likely know your recording them and whispering, talking chit about them…My guess is they would be better off without your advice. The trailer was safety chained. Once i found the problem on a tractor to be that the battery was in reverse polarity, (backwards) and burned the wire harness, when i pulled the work order and called the owner he made a mistake and wasn’t aware of the cause. I repaired it and delivered the tractor to the man who put the battery in backwards. He was a Medical Doctor a surgeon. he understands what he did wrong I don’t think i could fare as well doing surgery.

Many years ago, I dropped my brand new camera, (insert frustrated and colorful cuss language here) in front of my mother. I’m not sure what was worse, the damage to my camera or the conversation my dad had with me that evening. Now, I’m from a NAVY family,and ‘cuss like a sailor is a real thing, but sailor or not, we never used that kind of language in front of my mother…..good thing she wasn’t there for my dads sit down conversation with me. (I miss my parents, but they would both be near 110 years old now)

A boat trailer coming detached is no big deal; I own an airboat for 20 years and never had that problem…check it always. And I drove my boat over 700 miles one way, it never came unhooked. Alaska’s Dalton Highway.

the trailer light/brake cable should always have less slack in it than the amount of slack in safety chains and it iis. best to connect the emergency trailer brake cable to the trailer coupler pin
