I would like to see the makeup review of bodyshop. People with colored skin are more likely to be a minority that have a low income and purchase from affordable drugstore products are toxic to our skin. It would be nice if she kept reviewing new products from the drugstore affordable brands as well as the foundation and concealers. Because I do get anxiety to purchase a new foundation due to my hyperpigmentation.

I’ll say this over and over and over again...I’ve learned so so so much from you regarding skin of color. You have no idea how much I appreciate you, this channel and your social media. I was using so many products that was bad for my skin and I had no idea until I found your channel. I literally treat your videos like a college lecture, I sit with a note pad and take notes. I freaking love you woman. Please do not stop teaching and educating us on products. It’s been about 10 days now since I’m following your recommendations from your hyperpigmentation video and my face is 85% better. I know you said when we’re in our 30s, it takes longer to see cell turn over but girl I saw turn over in a matter of three days...and I’m not kidding. I can’t wait to see even more improvement in a month or two.

So I was gifted the drops of youth serum by a friend and I wrote a review on The Body Shop website. They removed the review and stated that it didn’t meet their guidelines. I just simply stated it was completely unnecessary to have all that fragrance in it and you can buy some of the key ingredients in it from another brand for much cheaper. The obviously don’t value constructive feedback 🤷🏽♂️
@alizazahranaqvi59924 жыл бұрын
Which other brands with same ingredients have you looked into? I'd want to purchase because i also use drops of youth
@Sassssif4 жыл бұрын
Aliza Naqvi Hi I now just use a cleanser from Cerave which has the Salicylic acid in it which the drop of youth serum has and the drop of youth also has Sodium Hyaluronate in it which I believe is derived from Hyaluronic acid of which I use The Ordinary’s Hyaluronic Acid serum. I have really oily skin so there are other serums I use from The Ordinary. In total they still come to less than the drop of youth serum.

Basically most drugstore products or rather products that are easily accessible to everyone are a no no and super toxic to our skin. It hurts but at the same time it’s the truth that we deserve as people of color! I must say that in South Africa we struggle with getting access to all these good products like Cerave and the ordinary. We literally have to buy online and they are expensive. I saw the full video and I have very different viewpoints. Let me start by saying that I have oily acne prone sensitive skin. I tend to get breakouts every now and then if I’m not cautious and when I say I swear by some products, I genuinely mean it. Starting with Vitamin E cream I must say it is my holy grail! It leaves my skin soft and nourished. I even use Vitamin E mask from this range and God the next morning my skin feels smooth and replenished. As far as the fragrance is concerned I know it sounds weird but the fragrance is calming fragrance. It does not give you burning sensation or irritation. Next I use Charcoal Mask. Oh God, that is my go to mask. I give it a 100% go. It calms my skin down, it takes away all the impurities and leaves my skin refreshed. The fragrance in it is what I want. It is not irritating. It also helps to clean my pores. Lastly the tea tree face wash or the whole range is a savior if your skin is acne prone. I have tried this face wash, foam cleanser, scrub everything. Believe me if you have stubborn acne just wash your face 2 times with this and you’ll thank me. For me all of these work well. I repurchase them and will continue to do so!

I'd be interested in that too. I bought Wishtrend's 5% Mandelic Acid and it irritated my forehead and it broke me out x

@@vanitarattan Do you recommend the ordinary's 5% Lactic acid for acne prone POC?
@justinejustice_league18574 жыл бұрын
@@sharonwilliams4074 I would love to know more about mandelic acid. I've been told it is the most gentle of the chemical exfoliates. Lower than lactic and much lower than glycolic. I'm currently waiting on mandelic acid from the ordinary.
@justinejustice_league18574 жыл бұрын
@@anahsaud8215 i got the azelic acid about weeks ago and my cystic acne is almost gone. I'm not exaggerating, it has worked better than salicylic acid, it takes my skin a long time to respond to SA. Azelic acid works differently from lactic acid. I have LA from the ordinary and I found it to still be a bit strong, there was a slight stinging after I removed it.

Thank you so much for sharing! I never really read the label of skincare products I bought, I usually just buy it because of friends reccomendation/some articles reviews about the products but never really educate or mention about ingredients in it. Because of your video I have become more aware about skincare products, I love the way you talk it is clear and easy to understand. God bless

I developed contact dermatitis on my lips in my twenties and I could never figure out what caused it. Now that I look back, I think it could have been developed by all those lip products I used to wear with fragrance.

Hi Dr. Vanita. I recently started using a niacinamide serum and I think it is causing my skin to purge. I've had minor breakouts that come and go. Do you recommend I continue with the product or is it not for me. The one I have used is by and Indian brand called Earth Rythym. Thank you so much!

Can you review the brand dermaco please!! They have a 10% niacinamide serum which is the only dupe for the ordinary available in India. If it’s approved by you I would love to purchase it

Luckely I found this video bc I want to change my Skincare regimen. Over 10years I used Tea Tree products from the BodyShop and I never know that their are ingredients which are not good for the skin👀But one thing I am greatful for is that it had made my skin clear ✨but still 👆🏾how you said for the beginning everything seems good but than the day comes where it can have an after effect for your skin!! I really thankful for your channel ✨🙏🏾

Hello Dr. Vanita.. My skin guru.. I'm waiting for your "new" dark circles video 😍 A lil question, Does rinsing Lightenex® Plus after one hour, remove the ordinary actives ive added before it? Or can I add them after rinsing it better? Wouldn't Lightenex® after rinsing with water leave a lipid film around the eyes blocking the actives? Your answer would mean so much to me

Thank you very much for your deep explanation about The Body Shop products. I bought the exfoliator product couple months ago and I have to stop using it because after I used it I got skin rash and burning sensation. After watched your explanation that the exfoliator contains denatured alcohol and fragrance, I know the reason now. I am new with skin exfoliator and I wish I had watched your video before using it.

They did unfortunately this doctor need to do a little more research be cause if this was done five months ago, she would of known herself that the Bodyshop has under gone reformulation acore the whole product board and ranges.

@@lornapitchers3761 Depends on when her video was actually filmed, the release of it was 5 months ago. It's good that they have gone through a reformulation though! Do you happen to know which products were changed? I had a look at their site recently, browsing their creams and noticed a lot of them still contain fragrance in them. Hopefully she'll do a recent video on those products that were reformulated for us! :) Also depends on if she's getting enough requests for it though, not sure if there are a huge amount of people who follow her who use The Body Shop stuff or not.
