I think so far through 4 episodes Joel showing Ellie how to hold a gun is my favorite scene. At that moment he no longer saw her as cargo and as someone he could trust...and he won't admit it yet but started to care about her

I don't think it was about trust, Joel was trying to protect and prolong Ellie's innocence and childhood. He didn't want her to grow up too quickly and that's why he didn't want her to have a gun.

If it hadn't been for how sad last week was, I'd have lost it over the dying raider kid crying for his mom. Bill and Frank ran me out of tears for now tho. They absolutely nailed the ambush scene and I'm excited for next week's team-up

@@kuivia Tanks require a lot of fuel to operate and battery power to move the turret. At the beginning of the outbreak they're much more effective than we've ever seen (There's twin clusters on the front of grenade dispensers that are usually for smoke grenades but can be loaded with any other grenade. There's also a cannister round which is essentially a shotgun shell). After twenty years though they're probably all useless.

The show is flowing very well and easy to follow. Quite a refreshing change from too much dialogue and bad acting in new Hollywood movies and TV. That's why people like it. I love the show, never done the game, but its a good adaptation so far. Love your natural black hair and blue eyes with a beautiful smile.

Joel is pretty emotionally shut down right now having just lost Tess and now his other 2 trusted acquaintances Bill and Frank in a couple of days. Ellie is like his daughter Sarah though in her sassy humor so that will help with forming a bond between them beyond just mutual survival.

this episode was a my least favorite episode, but it is a builder episode so it is understandable. That being said it is good and the introducing of who I think are Henry and Sam means next episode coming out Saturday US time (because of the Super Bowl) is gonna be great one.

My only issue with this show to this point is a new character Kathleen, not that she is bad, but don't believe in her character, can't see her as an Alpha, how can she run this fraction in this world, in my eyes she looks so Beta, not like Marlene or Tess, they were some strong alpha women, you need authority in a dog eat dog world, maybe it makes more sense later, but it throws me a bit off, fin by me they throw in more new characters, but in my eyes, she doesn't look or sound strong enough for the role, but maybe it changes

Yeah she's definitely unhinged and it's hard to understand why people would follow her. The whole "who did this?" as in "who fought to defend themselves against our ambush party?" Uh... anybody who is armed and likes breathing? Hopefully they explain why she's in charge in the next episode.
