This is a video of a couple of trips to a recycle / Junk yard. I located some parts I needed and wanted. I also scavenged a few parts to keep as spares & repair parts as well.

Are the radios not coded to the VIN?

I'm not sure about the 2nd Gen or newer but, I've changed two radios in my cars and basically they were Plug-N-Play. I have never registered a battery either but, I've heard about it. When/ifI change it, I will video that and show the world. Thanks for watching.

wait so you sell these parts or is this just a hobby? I have the same exact model just 05. Currently rebuilding it. Where you located?

Thanks for watching. No I don't sell parts, we have four MINI's so it seems I'm always in need of something. I like to have parts on hand when it's time to fix or replace things. I also help people when I can because I enjoy doing it. I am located in central Virginia, near Richmond, the capitol.

Thanks for watching. It's a convertible R52 S Model, not the 2007 R57) so it's a 1st Gen. If it were a hardtop, it would be a 2nd Gen with the headlight NOT in the bonnet and a Turbo not a Supercharger, The convertible is a bit of a different beast, weird, I know but that's MINI.
