Batman[b] is a superhero who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by the artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and debuted in the 27th issue of the comic book Detective Comics on March 30, 1939. In the DC Universe, Batman is the alias of Bruce Wayne, a wealthy American playboy, philanthropist, and industrialist who resides in Gotham City. Sonic the Hedgehog[a] is a video game series and media franchise created by the Japanese developers Yuji Naka, Naoto Ohshima, and Hirokazu Yasuhara for Sega. The franchise follows Sonic, an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog who battles the evil Doctor Eggman, a mad scientist. The main Sonic the Hedgehog games are platformers mostly developed by Sonic Team; other games, developed by various studios, include spin-offs in the racing, fighting, party and sports genres. The franchise also incorporates printed media, animations, feature films, and merchandise.
While Sonic games often have unique game mechanics and stories, they feature recurring elements such as the ring-based health system, level locales, and fast-paced gameplay. I don’t necessarily see Sonic and Shadow as friends. More as associates or rivals because they don’t take time out of their day to be with one another. And when they are together, it’s usually when something bad happens. Just because someone respects you doesn’t mean you have to be friends with them. Two things can coexist at the same time. Now I don’t think they should hate each other or anything, they’re just not each other’s biggest fans. We already have Knuckles anyways. Though I’m not bashing people who do see them as friends, I respect everyone’s opinion. I just personally have a different stance that may sound weird. 😅

There is a official sonic comic(I can't remember if it was Archie or IDW) where sonic is shown the multiverse and there's a bunch of TV screens showing different versions of sonic and his friend 1 screen has sonic dressed as batman doing the batman the animated series pose, 1 screen has sonic dressed as Spider-Man web swinging, 1 screen has sonic dressed as daredevil, and 1 screen has knuckles as the hulk and there's more and that's all on 1 page of the comic and the KZbin channel death battle even has a video just talking about that 1 comic and the sonic multiverse

I always thought of Shadow as the Batman of the Sonic Universe. Someone who has more of a darker aesthetic, but is more caring and compassionate than casual fans might expect and is still a hero (Not an Antihero!) who wants to protect his home and bring hope to the people they swore to protect. And their origins heavily involve a death of a family member. So it’s amazing that an official animation of Shadow as Batman actually exists!😎

Ok, Let's see... So Sonic is the Joker and Rouge is Catwoman, these are the obvious ones. I suppose Tails would Be Robin, quite the twist, and Cream Batgirl with Omega being Red Hood. And by proxy, since Vector and the Chaotix are the obvious choice of the Gotham Police Force guess he and Vanilla finally tied the knot. Amy is Harley Quinn by process of elimination, Knuckles is Bane, Blaze would fit as Talia al Ghul. Silver would have to be Mister Freeze since he is the only one with a "Freezing Ability" even if only with his mind. Eggman would be The Penguin, Sage could fill the role of Poison Ivy, Metal sonic would be Scarecrow... We still have quite a few to fill...

I saw the animation and my first thought was "Ah yes, Shadow, the Sonic character who is an orphan who fights evil with an array of gadgets and physical abilities instead of superpowers, and whose most distinctive feature on his head is his ears." *Cough cough* Tails *cough* Though, yeah, if they ever did a Marvel Crossover, it would be a lot of fun. Kinda wish n prefer Sonic X DBZ crossover over DC since that’s more of a match made in heaven but guess Shadow wearing Batman costume was cool along with the funny references/connections both franchises have. I do fs with Batman and if there’s a potential comic or animation of the crossover, then I’ll be excited for it.
