A very helpful conversation. We see through a glass darkly and getting behind the symbols of Revelation to the realities they stand for is a challenge CS Lewis and John Lennox have taken up carefully and wisely much to our benefit during this time of accelerating change. 2084 is a very timely book. The progress of AI forces the Church to confront new realities. It raises profound questions about human nature, identity, and the essence of the soul-questions the Church must address. In the face of the singularity, the Church must carry the responsibility of offering guidance and imparting wisdom. It must speak truth in the midst of technological marvels and redirect people's focus toward a significance that surpasses the realm of machines. By the way, this was written by AI.

I just really have come to believe and say, God is not in control, He is in charge and Sovereign but free will and natural consequences plus evil all play into what happens and God does not often intervene. He is good, that is His nature, and we shouldn’t attribute the ‘bad’ to Him.
