I am sorry you liked the artwork but not the stories in shiver... I do need to try junji ito but haven't dived in yet. Oh no, I am so sorry you didn't like what moves the dead either -- I did really like that one. It is a slow burner though, as it is a very gothic layout of the novella. I also enjoyed all systems red in the end as we chatted about! I need to get my hands on book 2 at some point. I unfortunately I didn't really like the first in the celestial monsters series and dnfed the first one but my friend really enjoyed them both so I am glad you really liked it and the adhd rep too. I do want to try cemetery boys eventually still. And I also want to get around to little thieves at some point!

Thank you! I love to be inspired by other book tubers but didn't want to directly copy what they do so that was my solution that fits me as well as pays homage to the original series!

Sad Shiver didn't work for you but Junji Ito isn't for everyone so I get it! I really need to read Murderbot! I've heard good things!

It would have been so much better for me of each story was a full volume and had a plot that was less rushed or felt finished. I really loved the art style but yeah, I don't know if his stories will be for me.

@@KayBethBookish It might be better for you to try one of his full stories rather than the short story collection? Something like Tomie or Uzumaki? But most of his collected works are short stories tbh.
