Thanks for the lecture. Do you think you would be interested in doing a video about the historical boundaries of ancient Israel?

Thank you for this unbiased geographic explanation. It certainly helps me to be up to date. I was born in 1947, had planned to go to Israel in 1967, and ended up in the US Army in 1968. World events have tended to create detours in my path.

***** I would argue it was biased towards the PLO! I.e mentioned the wall as one of the reaso that Oslo, failing to mention the real reason the wall and Oslo failed, namely NON STOP TERRER ATTACKS, or the missles that keep flying from GAZA after they left there. FAILING ROAD MAP! aka stupid road map!!!
@pommel4710 жыл бұрын
I don't think Henry intended any bias. He was just presenting a nonpolitical geographic change in borders over a specific time period. Of course anyone can perceive bias in almost any statements; about anything because of their own biased frame of mind. Henry is a mensch, and a teacher, not a political hack.

Something compelled me to read up and understand the dispute and quite frankly as I watch the many children damaged emotionally, physically and emotionally over the years, who in their mother would want to raise children on either side. Why did the UN meddled in at one point and in my opinion made a greater mess almost as if the powers to be want these nations in turmoil. How can anyone think there will be peace with the land so divided, it looks like a puzzle. I pray for everyones well being. Henry, you do explain very well the puzzle that in my 47 years of life I can finally understand and more importantly makes me want to understand it more.

YaherKoach Dr Henry, best regards from Down Under, Melbourne Australia. My Father ZL volunteered and was a soldier in "Milchemet HaShikrur". My Father ZL would recount and tell us stories about one of his officers Moshe Dayan! later Dence MInister.

I would like to add my sincere thanks for this explanation of Israel's territory. I has truly helped me to understand a bit of the conflict in the region and the historical basis for it. Indeed, let us pray for peace in the Middle East.

Your description is very generous towards the Arab side, perhaps overly generous. You don't even mention WHY Israel decided to put up their wall, a decision made under the sainted Rabin.

Thanks!. I was watching Seinfeld and Jerry said that the Judaism has been around for 5000 years is this true? How old were/ are the temples of Jerusalem? Also, is it true the Jews bought Israel during the Ottoman Empire?

Dr Abramson...Rabbi Mohilever started religious Zionism way before Hertzel..Battle of Bnei Brak and settlement of eretz Yisroel..schmittah and yobel became a big issue soon after. Rabbi Kahane was inspired by Mohilever. Maybe do a course on both yidden.Todah.

+mitzvah golem dont all jews face jerusalem when prayin and have they not all wanted to be buried there....next year in jerusalem.....zionism is wanting to go to zion.....you know....the one you remember while weeping by the rivers of babylon.....it only became a dirty word recently.....and a euphamism for jews and an exuse for "yudenhass"

Reasonable summary....but not sure how the eviction of 10,000 Jews from Gaza and destruction of 22 Jewish communities got no mention. All you said was Sharon pulled out the army. Plus you made mistake re Crater versus Clinton in Oslo picture.

Again, a well talk. I might add that when Jerusalem was depopulated both Arabs and Jews which lived there before were expelled. I also think that looking at the map makes it indeed more neutral, we can look at mass killings of either Arabs or Jews which are recorded, but that would create a talk which isn't neutral, while most people can agree on what you told here. By the way, I like your Phineas and Ferb drinking cup xD
