How come Gaza Strip remains an occupied territory when there was zero Israeli presence since 2005 withdrawal?
@rogermendoza3541
@rogermendoza3541 4 жыл бұрын
@فريدي كروجر That is completely different to the definition of "occupied territory". It should be "controlled territory" if that is the case.
@rogermendoza3541
@rogermendoza3541 4 жыл бұрын
@فريدي كروجر Well, I believed it wasn't since 2005 and evicted the last remaining jews from Gaza and then in 2007 Hamas got into power and bent on to complete destroy Israel. It is not only Israel that blockaded Gaza but Egypt as well due to terrorism and violence by Hamas. If Hamas declare peace and recognizes Israel then there will be no need for a defensive blockade.
@yoavmal
@yoavmal 3 жыл бұрын
@@rogermendoza3541 I believe that the terminology is the cause of issue here - Israel does not have physical troops in Gaza nor settlements there, rather is blockading the strip by land and sea. I'd argue this isn't an occupation, but the term is probably a properly defined law term, which I don't know the proper definition of. Israel did occupy parts of the Gaza strip during "tsuk eitan" and "amud anan", but those were mostly planned to weaken the Hamas and deter aggressions, so Israel withdrew shortly after. The main reason it left is the cost of life and constant military presence required to hold it.
@rogermendoza3541

@@yoavmal This terminology is created from the narrative of the palestinians in which even the fact that Gaza is free of Israeli presence since 2005 the mere fact israel exist in "arab" land it would remain in their minds that the land is "occupied". To this day none of the arab countries ever recognized the UN Reso. 181 that legitimized both the Jewish State and an Arab State. Ironically, it is the west and all other countries that recognizes Palestine as a State today and granting them "observer" status at the UN, which has no legal basis at all as per UN Reso. 181. The Palestinians should recognize the very legal basis that established their Statehood but wouldn't because it will also in effect recognize Israel at same time.

@@rogermendoza3541 well that's informative, thanks! Also the image is pretty misleading, it's pretty clear they haven't done very extensive research, so they just marked it as de facto occupied, rather than by Hamas.

one can consider the West Bank as occupied, though parts of it are legally under israeli control. the Gaza.strip has no israeli soldiers on it. Israel does not really care about the Golan, but keeps it occupied as Syria does not want to commit to a deal without agression towards Israel. the moment they do, they can have it back

WRONG Why are there more choldren with poor than the rich. Firstly its a GODLY COMMANDED MANKIND to multiply (increase) and have children. WHY????? FIRSTLY because plagues (diseases), droughts (famine and starvation), conflicts and wars, natural disasters (floods, eadthquakes, volcanoes, fires etc) kill a lot of people sometimes whlle families. Otherwise there would be no humanity. One of the reasons God our creator HATES ABORTION. A feutus, the first signs of the growth of a baby from a union between man and woman is a blessing from our Father Creator. Imagine how many aborted babies both male and female would have grown up to be. Even one born disabilities is a blessing as many parents can attest to. Many cannot have children and can be adopted by a loving caring couple and be s blessing to them.

From a legal and historical perspective, the establishment of Israel in 1948 resulted in a significant change of territorial control, and this transition is considered to be a form of occupation by ICRC rules and regulations. The land that became Israel was previously inhabited by Arab Palestinians, and the establishment of Israel led to the displacement of many Palestinians. Which means Israel is an occupier, not able to claim self defense; and has committed war crimes just by the inception of Israel in 1948.
@Bigwillyice
@Bigwillyice Жыл бұрын
Pretty biased view, and multiple arab countries used this argument to declare war and try to take over Israel in multiple failed attempts. At this point israel is well established and any attempt to reverse that would do much more harm than good and again result in ethnic cleansing against the jews. The israeli military forces have committed crimes of force in the occupation zones and this tends to happen whenever armed police forces are present in any area. There is no clean solution to this conflict and territorial claims stretch back thousands of years as the land has been continuously inhabited by jews, christians and muslims for over 3000 years, and multiple large empires have occupied the region in this time. Seeing as this land is considered holy by half the world’s population there was almost no chance of the successful and peaceful formation of a nation in the palestine region. And looking at the rest of the middle east and other arab states, and arab palestinian state would have had a much more violent outcome than the current situation of israel

Concise, but not impartial. All expansions of Israeli territory were direct result of Arab neighbors initiating hostilities. And not entirely factual (Israel does NOT “occupy” Gaza! There are NO Israelis there). Israel has consistently invited negotiation for peaceful coexistence; Arab neighbors had consistently rejected any recognition of Israel’s right to exist - until Egypt & Jordan entered treaties with Israel. “Palestinian” leadership still will NOT recognize Israel’s right to exist and is still officially committed to its destruction. Until “Palestinians” have responsible leadership committed to forming a responsible government, Israel must continue its self defense policies.

So should the arrogence of the leaders of Israel as with many "they wanted more". When the British had there mandate on that land there was no Israel only Palistine. The Palistinians AGREED to the CONDITIONS SET BY BRITAIN and the PALISTINIANS compromisd them have some land. The ZIONISTS GOT GREEDY and wanted more and the the conflict started in 1948 amd ciontinues today with a genocide. Pamistinians from the onset compromised and the ZIONISTS DID NOT even. The blatant disregard for the UN says it ALL. ELOHIM did not call Judah rebelious from the days of BABYLON. NO DIFFERENT TODAY except the few TRUE SPIRITUAL JEWS WHO LIVE and obey TORAH..

The Land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel! it is a basic historical fact that everyone agrees on, Christians, Muslims, historians and archaeologists. The whole Bible is one huge proof that Israelis lived in the Land of Israel 3000 years ago. The names of the Arab villages preserve the ancient Hebrew names, Jesus himself was a Jew, in every corner you dig you will find pottery with a Hebrew script and Hebrew names, buildings of ancient synagogues Jews prayed three times a day to return to the land of israel and Jerusalem, after the Romans exiled them to Europe. This is basic history. So who are the Palestinians? Arabs who immigrated to the territory of Palestine, whose name the Romans changed to Palestine. Those who live between the sea and the Jordan River are called Palestinians, Arab Jews and Christians, they were all Palestinians. There is no Palestinian nation, and never will be. Palestinians exploit anti-Semitism in the West to destroy the State of Israel, the only small Jewish state in the world. God is with us. We are returning to our homeland after 2000 years of exile. It is a divine move and no one can stop it. We are bringing and bringing light to all nations. Be prepared!
