I have a Charles Tyrwhitt shirt of my father's. I took the spare button and placed it at the side seam at waist level so i can button across to kind of wrap it. I saw something on my Pinterest feed for sale and thought hey I have the perfect shirt for that. I wear it with a camisole and boyfriend jeans and it looks great. Xx

I never liked the conventional, classic shirt look but for the past few years shirts have been getting more interesting with the variety of styles, patterns and shapes, so I've been buying some. Yes the thrift stores are a good place for getting some amazing affordable button up oxford shirts. I hit the men's rack for the oversize look I like. Love my denim shirts. I'm not into combining them, but might cut one shorter. I'd like to open the side seams as well, as I'm pretty short. Hmm, I need a sewing machine, but I do have scissors! Also I never get tired of tying them at the waist, perhaps it's not a trend but when it suits you, I think it is feminine and glamorous and suits many body shapes. 👏🏼

Am a big fan of button downs too. I even had some blouses that didn’t have thr buttons go all the way down and i changed them because I like to tie them or tug half a front part in. So I totally am in !!

My friend has just started her own clothing brand, so I purchased something from her, including a button-down shirt. But I found it so difficult to style as they are short sleeves. All the shirts shown in this video are long sleeves. How do I style it without it looking like high school uniform, Leonie? (I have a young look and am tiny, I wore that shirt once and my housemate was like "Oh you look like a student." lol) xx

Short sleeve button ups are so fun! Feels slightly reminiscent of skater, California culture that I’m seeing all over NYC now. I love with denim shorts, long jeans, linen pants - Eva Chen wears this style a lot

Hmmm short sleeve button downs are definitely a little trickier but I would probably try and pair it with a pair of denim shorts or a denim skirt and maybe wear it open or tied with a white tank underneath. The other alternative is to just embrace the preppy look and wear it buttoned all the way up to the neck and give it a bit of an edge with some fab denim jeans or shorts!
