JB keeps improving his overall game. Tatum keeps improving his overall game. Hauser and Pritchard have kept improving. White improved hugely after getting to Boston. We have every reason to think all of those contracts are solid gold. And Holiday and Horford don't even *need* to improve.

The Celtics brought back EVERYBODY THAT MATTERS... And also drafted another great 3 point shooter AND THE ABSOLUTE PERFECT!!! AL HORFORD REPLACEMENT!!! Schierman has chance to be a guy who runs the pick n roll as the ball handler AND has the ability for the inverse pick n roll where hel set the pick and either pop for a good shot from 3 or roll and get the chance to play make out of the short roll at a high level due to his size and ability to set picks Anton Watson is an A+ pick setter for a rookie... And looks to have the potential to be an Al Horford CLONE offensively... Hitting open 3s at a good percentage and being able to defend 3-5 at a high level Getting a guy like Watson at pick 54 when you already have a roster as good as the Celtics is absolutely RIDICULOUS

The extended contracts for quality, upcoming players is genius. Besides keeping a super lineup intact, these contracts will be valuable in a couple of years for trading for other quality players and draft picks, when needed, even in the 2nd apron. Several Celtics bench players are/will be starter-level on other teams. Their value will increase while playing with this quality roster.

But two of the wizards picks over the next few seasons They are in a better position to go on a dynasty run than anyone since the early 80s lakers

$500 million bill coming up, but . . . last year, Celtics official revenue (from major streams) was $450+ million. The single biggest component of that, by a considerable margin, is national media rights, and the league just signed deals to make that particular pie MUCH larger. The C's will be profitable even if things like ticket prices, local media contracts, etc, didn't see any inflation. The real issue is how dedicated the next owner group is, compared to how greedy they are.

I think the big question here is size in the paint. Al Horford is getting old. I don't think any of us really want to see KP taking the physical punishment of banging in the post/painted area. We are also going to face two of the most physical paint scorers in the NBA between Embiid and Giannis (not to mention Randle from the NYK). I would like to see a cheap veteran grab for someone that can get physical down low.

$512 million will be the bill 25-26, not next season (24-25). We won't be paying the highest tax next year, Suns will. Who cares about the $512 due in '26? Sure, it technically comes out of the owners' pockets- but they still will be massively profitable regardless. It is possible that they will be more profitable by going down this path (and being the biggest taxpayer). It's only a problem if they don't win again. All the extra $ from licensing/ merchandise from this championship alone will pay that tax bill.
